Must be at least 60 knots . Its really difficult to taxi in such winds .. For a plane (even a light airplane to VTO like that there has to be real real stiff head wind

Of course the headwind and up-slope helped. Beautiful shot of the full use of the controls though. Lots of rudder inputs and he retracts the flaps (which include drooping-ailerons or flaperons if you will) just after he comes to a stop to kill the lift. Then during takeoff when the airspeed is right the flaps are extended to "elevate" him off the ground. Looks like a lot-o-fun!! Nice machine with an extended range belly fuel tank and Monster Truck tires.......... Looks like flaperons etc are being put to good use ! Title: world record attempt!
