RC India - Flying and racing with open minds !

From the Youtube description : British engineers have developed the world's first ''flapless'' plane - that uses hundreds of tiny AIR JETS to control its movements. The DEMON uses output from the jets to control airflow over the plane, manipulating lift and drag without using traditional flapping mechanisms to steer. Its developers believe the technology could revolutionise the stealth capabilities of military aircraft by reducing edges and gaps that can be picked up on radar.

Will air jets be as smooth as control surfaces? Doesn't seem like it to me... Besides it needs a lot of auto corrections..

this kinda thing was introduced far behind 3 decades ago ,but for different purpose its was planned to use partial compressor air to blow above the wing near trailing there by making laminar flow and reducing stall speed ,but for some efficiency reason it was not used!

but when engine fails ! it will be a dead thing

@Divyam i think Harrier is an answer for your question ! in hover no control surface works ,only airjets located at extremities controls 20 ton jet Smiley

To increase thrust you need more  money! But to reduce weight you  need nothing!
