I've recently got a letter from Office of the principle commissioner of customs regarding my purchase of Jumper T16 pro from Aliexpress.
They requested me to submit Equipment type approval (ETA) from WPC and some other things.
I couldn't be able to find any links for equipment from WPC.
Could somebody guide me how to deal with the situation?

To import any transmitter, you need several permission.
Even if you have type approval, they will ask for importing authority. Look for previous posts...
That is why we always buy from LHS who has importing authority, and can take the clearing problem, for which they take some extra charges than original price, however reasonable. There are some LHSs who can import, items even the item is not on their store. Surely they get cleared from customs and give it to you.

In this case, you may ask for return to origin, for refund. Or may search for a clearing agent, which chances are less, and will cost expensive.

Hey, you could get all the ETA's which are approved from https://saralsanchar.gov.in/
I have checked and it has ETA for Jumper T16 Pro Hall

Thanks a lot man.I've sent the self declared ETA to the customs through email today.Do I have to send the import permission too ?.I tried to download it but I think it is only for companies .

Import permission is not required, I have got my QX7 cleared from Chennai Customs last month by just sending the ETA.
Let me know the duty they charge :)

Did you send the ETA through email or did you go in person?
how much did they charge you as customs duty?
In my experience they usually charge 42%.

I mailed them, and two days later they released it


They Charged me 42.08%, I think thats the norm for all personal imports more than 1000  :-\

FINALLYyyyy.....
I Finally got my Jumper T16 after a long long wait.Ordered it on Dec-13-2019 and received it on 13-06-2020.
I've sent many emails to the customs with all the required documents but nothing happened , as a last resort I called them and explained my situation and they directed me to someone who told me send the documents one more time and with in two days I got my Tx.
They charged me around 4600/- as customs duty which is 42.08% of the tx value.
