Post by: imsid25 on August 04, 2021, 01:33:06 PM
Hi guys,

Wanted to create my first drone and was thinking of ordering parts like the fsc and esc and motors from banggood. Please share you experiences below. I also wanted to know if you can import just the drone frame which is made out of carbonfibre and has no equipment on it!

it depends on which type of parts do you want import. Now importing 2.4ghz radio transmitter is banned so, you should buy from LHS, they will charge u 150-200% or even more for 2.4ghz TX.
However if u want to import 2.4Ghz TX from banggood, there is 50-50 possibility that it will retained by customs(I'm not sure about 5.8ghz vtx). so, u should have "ETA self declared" from saralsanchar before order.

And I don't think u will face any issue on import of remaining components.

I will suggest u to buy original drone parts, it is very-very important because it may cause many issues during build.

Visit 'rcmumbai.com' they sell original drone products & battery, they charge 5-10% extra compare to banggood & some products available at same or less price as compare to banggood.

there are many LHS website available, u should visit them, may be u will get some good deal.

I wanted the Iflight xl5 v2 frame https://shop.iflight-rc.com/xl5-v5-1-true-x-fpv-freestyle-frame-kit-pro1293 (https://shop.iflight-rc.com/xl5-v5-1-true-x-fpv-freestyle-frame-kit-pro1293)  and mostly will order their motors too. I was thinking of asking them to declare the package as "dc motors and spare parts" as they do accept custom order declarations. I only hope the customs don't get suspicious as the frame parts are barely recognizable.

As per my latest experience with bangood IDM. They won't ship it to your name. they will ship it to their partner in Delhi. From there the partner will ship to you. But it is my personal experience. It may vary.

Could you provide your tracking number as it will help me know more about the shipping.(No other intention as this is my first IDM order and i have like 5 orders on the way)
