We have a static display of aircrafts belonging to Tata Steel and the others that are stationed in Jamshedpur airport. The Airport is open to Public and school children come to have a look at the various events that go on. They get very excited when the aerobatic displays are done by the Jamshedpur Aeromodelling club and the guests who come down from Kolkata. There is usually a formation flying of Cessna 152s done by the Flight Training Institute Instructors. There are quiz competions for children on the life of Mr Tata and the winner and runners up along with their teachers are given a joy ride of Jamshedpur in Tata Steel's MD520N helicopter. As this is an event held every year, if anyone is in Jamshedpur on 29th of July and are free then they must make it a point to join the Aeromodelling team in the Airport from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm.
