Post by: anwar on July 27, 2013, 07:10:02 AM

Hi Anwar,

We understand that we had the link placed on your site, and that it's unfair to ask you to go through the effort to take it down in order to solve a mess that we've gotten ourselves into.
We, therefore, completely understand if you cannot help us, but would be very grateful if you would help us nonetheless.

Thank you very much for your help. We really appreciate it.

Thanks,
Renee

We did not solicit your link... you went over zealous in your SEO techniques and posted on our forum which had nothing to do with your activities, and we will not take this down.

Lessons learnt for you.

Anwar.

To the owner of www.rcindia.org (http://) (http://),

How are you doing today? My name is Renee, and I am writing because my website, www. ChristmasTreeMarket .com, has received an unnatural link penalty from Google. We would like to ask your help in removing a link from your site to ours - *we believe this will help protect your site as well as our own*.

Let me assure you that we are contacting a large number of sites for a wide variety of reasons. We are trying to be very aggressive in removing links so that we can show contrition to Google – so this message does not mean that we think you have violated Google’s quality guidelines.

For context, here are the locations of some sample links we found:
  -  http://www.rcindia.org/deals-and-special-offers/idol-racing-baja-series-special-discount/?prev_next=next;

Below is the anchor text (link text) of the links to us on the above pages:
 -  Christmas tree sales
  -  Christmas tree sales
  -  Christmas tree sales
  -  Christmas tree sales

According to our software, these pages link to the pages listed below:

  -  http://www. christmastreemarket .com/Artificial-Christmas-Trees-On-Sale-s/46.htm

  -  http://www. christmastreemarket .com/Artificial-Christmas-Trees-On-Sale-s/46.htm

We hope that this is enough information to help you remove the links to our site. Please let us know that you’ve received this email, and any action you’ve taken. If you have any questions or concerns at all about this, please don’t hesitate to contact me at xxxxxxxxxx.

Thank you for your understanding,

Very good anwar sir, all those spammers who want to promote sites always do this.
Off topic though, didnt quite understand why people owning a business call themselves as We?
i know many single persons owning a business refer to themselves as We. Never understood why.

Because owners always treat their staff/employees as part of the team.  They look at the company as a whole and speak for all of them together. There are hardly any businesses that are truly "one man show"s.

Sir, how does Google judge whether a link is genuine or spam?

I am guessing they have algorithms that look for unusual spikes in inward links. These SEO lamers do not realize they are doing long term damage to themselves when they outsource SEO enhancement projects to companies in India, Philippines etc.

Cheapest way to get pagerank is to get considerable amount of backlinks and this can be automated using Ratware tool. Its good that google keeps updating their crawler's algorithm.
