Yesterday built another model. Aesthetically bad ,no art, but flies good and perfect.So physics and maths wins! Art failed😀😃😁

sanjayrai55

Most unfair. We are hijacking his thread ;)

I hope my wife listen to Vishal ;D :giggle: She thinks it is child's play :help:

@SI74,
I liked the flying video of the Slowly so much that I refrained from commenting on her beauty or build quality...
You could consider introducing some art too...
Believe me, it won't hurt ;D
Regards.

Wonderful! I always thought cutting, gluing, visualization, giving shape is a form of art. I guess I was all wrong :banghead: May be it was my maths and physics.

Sorry Vishal. It is not good for me if I offend you because your build series was my starting point. I saw your build videos many a time before my first build. So please forgive if my words were inappropriate . Please don't feel bad. I do respect your words. You should understand the ecstasy one gets after their first flight :)

vishalrao

No issues. I very well understand that feeling and I can relate to you when one gets that feeling that - Yes! It is so simple.

The feeling of flying your own creation is the most wonderful feeling. I haven't yet experienced anything better than that. My intention was not to scare anybody but to encourage them to take the right step in the right direction.

For me, aeromodelling is like a religion and I tend to take it very seriously  :giggle:

All the best for your future builds  :thumbsup:

@vishalrao,
I am now in touch with kamalsahai.
He has a Flysky radio, but perhaps no motor, prop, esc, servos etc.
And no access to a nearby flyer, or to depron.
And no prior exposure.

Could you PM him about your Floater?
That may be safest way for him to start.
Regards.

vishalrao

Thank you Iyer sir! Will get in touch with him.

Well sometimes other's experience saves a newbie from a lot of mess and headaches :)

On other hand if we search for the topic we get to know a lot more....:D

And yes kamal there are around 35+flyers in/around Chandigarh :) But a very few scratch builders. So i thought of taking risk....:)
Currently making my own wing. I hope i will be able to make it fly.

By the way kamal search for ROBOVERSITY and AEROTRIX(Chandigarh, Mumbai, Bangalore, Chennai Etc) http://www.aerotrix.com/aeromodelling-workshops-in-chandigarh  http://www.roboversity.com/robotics-workshops-in-chandigarh
they have regular workshops on RC planes and Quadcopters....
Most probably these workshops takes place around PEC or PU

In college at IIT Bombay, one of my electives was Industrial Design, which challenged how much one's aesthetic and technical skills could be blended. One of the first things we learnt is "Form follows Function" So something that looks ghastly could very well be technically perfect - theoretically.

sanjayrai55

However the human senses are so exquisitely refined, that something that looks correct will generally also work correct. And, vice-versa, something that seems discordant will generally perform erratically. I hope this sheds some light on maths/physics vs Art ;)
