I have ordered a battery from Aliexpress on 12th Dec, 2018 and i still havent recieved it. On the tracking it shows its in "Guwahati customs inspection". and it has been there for over 2 weeks. I got some number for the Guwahati customs office but no one picks up the call. Its been over 2 months not and would want to know whats happening. any help would be appreciated. My tracking number is EQTWL8121051277YQ

Are you in Mumbai or north east  ?

i am in Mumbai. usually it comes from Kolkata. But i guess the carrier is different this time.

You should initiate a claim proceeding with Ali. They will reply wait 45 days, but nonetheless initiate it

A claim for what? Refund for parcel not received?

Precisely. Put it on record. If you wait till the last moment, Ali will make some admin glitch and deny you!

Very often, the actual seller gives a tracking number, but doesn't ship on time!

Deny a refund for buyers mistake of not knowing lipo import restrictions in his own country before ordering ? Sound so unfair.

Not shipping on time? Isn't the issue here the parcel being stuck at customs? How would the sellers processing time impact that?

It's not trackable on Indian Postal Service.

I've had a similar experience, also with a battery. The seller pleaded for extension, I gave it once
 After that I demanded a refund, which Ali finally gave after creating many delays

Open dispute! Don't wait for parcel & reply from seller.
Ali will waste your 7 day-1 month in Aliexpress dispute process.(refund process)
Always buy battery from LHS.

Ali-express won't entertain dispute opened for custom delays.
If the tracking details showing parcel detained or under custom inspection then dispute will be given in seller's favor.
A proper and valid reason to be shown for custom detention else dispute will be closed in seller's favor.
Its not easy to convince Ali's dispute panel, afterall seller is giving commission to Ali and Ali's panel will always be lean towards seller.
A very powerful and valid reason can only provide refund.
You should never gamble on importing banned items, 90% times it stucks in customs.

I havnt received the product. Please give me proof that customs is holding the package. On the tracking website it says customs inspection. I called guwahati customs and they said they dont have the parcel and its not possible for a parcel going to Mumbai to come to guwahati. Its a tracking mistake. I called Kolkata customs and i cannot tracking the parcel with the tracking number provided. It starts with 4 alphanumeric characters. Customs says there should be 2 in the beginning. Provide proper tracking ID

its a battery pack for mobiles. Its light and shouldnt have custom issue i think
