Hello friends,
I have a query which is not resolved even after googling.  8-)
I have a Dena bank debit card with Visa logo on it and I used it to purchase stuff from hk and glb using paypal, but now paypal says that bank doesn't verify my card.
Does anyone know what is the issue and what are my other options to pay using paypal.
I also have a SBI account but they gave some maestro card which is not accepted in paypal.

Looking forward for replies.

Indian Paypal account accepts only Credit Cards and cannot store money also. No payment using bank account or Debit card. Payment received also immediately credited back to bank account no storage.

@sajid... Brother RBI made it mandatory from 1st dec 2013 for all debit card transactions to be verified via ATM pin. This could be the possible issue. Only If you paypal was allowing you to use debit card earlier and denying it now.

Else it could be well what Sundaram sir mentioned.

maestro card is a debit cart and i dont think in india it is equivalent to visa electron, correct me if i am wrong. I have a visa electron which i used it for purchasing stuffs from HK but now its rejected by payment processor. Dont know what is the issue but least you can drop you current card and apply for visa or master card. Maestro card can be linked to your paypal but i doubt you'll able to shop from it.

No bro I have Visa debit card from dena bank which was working fine before and now it appears there's some rbi rule.
Btw this people will just give us mastercard without much hassle.?
I heard you need to apply for it and then bank people will decide to give it or not.

i use paypal through my ICICI bank debit card. It goes on well. Absolutely no issues.

is it master card or visa.?

I tried 2 times to verify mine with no luck plus they deducted 128 Rs from my account.

i use icici. Its one of the best acc to me for online transaction both domestic and international

Dena bank. it worked before but now its not.

only ICICI and AXIS bank debit cards can be used along with paypal... rest all must use a credit card...

login your account
1.Left side of screen below your name check status if shows Unverified click and fill the necessary details.
(If shows verified ignore it)
2.Next to it sending and withdraw amount if its limited then click and fill the necessary details.
(if shows view limit then check whether the receiving and sending are completed)

Hope this will resolve the issue if not just send a mail to paypal customer service.

yup I tried to do that, it said card is not verified by bank.
I think aerovishwa is correct they'll accept only icici and axis debit cards.

Axis bank debit card is not working, but credit card is working fine.

Even i did the same adding bank account to paypal, later on payment page it is saying contact your bank , unable to transact.

You try it, if it works with you tell the procedure how to do.

Not possible with bank account. :(
We have to link credit or debit card only.

Both credit and debit card won't work with paypal, But they will deduct some money to verify and refund it. This is of no use, don't waste your time spending in paypal.
Ask any of your friends or relatives, that is the only option left to you.

I dont think so, never saw its option while purchasing.

NO, because Hobbyking don't accept payments through Google wallet,
Only options available for Indian's are
1)Credit card.
2)western union (It takes many days).

ICICI bank debit card through paypal works just fine. I ordered a few things yesterday using it. No issues watsoever.

Here we can make a virtual credit card and add money to it through any Visa Debit card or bank account and then use this virtual credit card in Paypal.

Sajid koi nhj yaar but be aware of using such pnline credit cards. Dnt use them untill u are fully aware of its authenticity

FYI I made a payment via Visa Axis Debit Card, directly, without paypal or anything on HK.
Was charged TOTAL+2.93% (No Paypal).

But it was still worth buying from ebay cause same items I would have purchased in india for about 2000/- and I got it for 900. :)

Yes if we can use our debit card then thats no problem in HK :)
