@Spherehobbies,
A picture taken by some person standing in 15th floor cannot pose much of danger to civilians but a quad with lost signal can do.
Filming a private organisation in the city outskirts is okay, but in the center of the city?
People venturing into commercial practice of this hobby ignore rules of flying and take all the risk just for their benefits.

Ashok

Point noted. But where is it written in any Indian Law to raise this objection?
A picture taken by some person standing in 15th floor cannot pose much of danger to civilians but a quad with lost signal can do.

Your above argument is based on the assumption. Why a quad/flying machine should crash if operators are trained (as drivers and pilots are) Bear in mind that poor implementation or non existence of any law cannot justify the activity being dangerous.

Absence of proper guideline or law in our society itself is a proof that we know very little. India is still governed by Aircraft Act 1934 and Aircraft Rule 1937!!!

Central idea of our example of building was to understand the word "AIR SPACE".

You can trust the radio so much until your first crash with it.

Even best of flying machine are bound to failure. You cannot be so sure that a flying machine operated by a trained operator is safe.

Perhaps we are giving too much importance to this publicity stunt. If the Piza company in question does get permission to deliver Via Multirotor,(unlikely) they could have the following slogan " We will deliver in 15 mins or kill someone trying"

I liked the novel idea, and also heard amazon too showing interests in implementing it to make its deliveries. But the issue of compliance of safety is the key. In europe to fly a quad/multicopter you need a helicopter license. That explains their standards and understanding.

Just because, it is gyro-and all sophisticated electronics and software, it cannot assure nothing will go wrong. Imagining it hitting a cable-tv cable while flight over people/children underneath them and crashing unto them, which is 'very much can happen' situation.

Aeromodelling or rather aerospace is still a large corporate thing in India, as the lesser mortals are mostly ignorant of the compliance matters. This forum will definitely help us in getting more knowledge, confidence and being organised to handle situations that even are rare to happen. Even for the sake of the hobby, please take safety as the first step to be a civilised and rightly informed air-citizen.

A couple of decades [or more] of my outings in various sport/hobby/career-verticals, I have seen all grades of people, being compliant and the other lot of non-compliance. The compliant and disciplined lot are whole sweet to hang out with, than the idiots who cannot for-see its importance and just try to get around things to get done.

In short, there is no shortcut to success, is the mantra.. 'Chalta hai' is not happening anymore!

Lol now they say it was a publicity stunt and they didnot deliver the pizza
The quad was flown at diffrent places and video editing made it look like it went 1.5 km away

And it didnt have a pizza it was empty box......
It never went above 10feet
Officals couldnt pinpoint any provisions under which the pizza outlet could be booked so guys happy flying
And if mumbaimirror did read my comment IT IS NOT A DRONE

But drones are unmanned aerial vehicles that fly without human input and a quadcopter needs a man's input . So why have they banned both ?

How can they ban it if they dont even know the difference between drones and Multirotors
I am lucky to be able fly it in a secluded ground
And i even flew above a dozen of senior officers in a event
None of them stopped me Huh?
(Weird) a couple of them even took pictures of it

It would be great if they develop a licensed system where people who have proper license would be allowed to fly in public places or would have to practice only in secluded places
Would be good for public safety as well as good for the hobby community (freedom to fly legally)

Drones also requires Human input . USA Drones are controlled by man's / women's input from control station located far from Battlefield .
