"This is RC India's lounge to sit back, relax and ponder aloud."

I am sitting back and I am about to ponder aloud, but I am NOT RELAXED as I do this. Anyway, 2 out of 3 ain't bad! I expect some repurcussions to this post, but it is important for me to get it off my chest. I have wasted a full day wondering where I went wrong, and I don't want to waste anymore of my time feeling disturbed.

Would I make a sudden false allegation against a forum member or insinuated that he was trying to cheat others, without having any facts at my disposal? I doubt it.

Thereafter if the forum member sent me several PM's and posted queries asking me to explain my words, would I keep hiding and ignoring the messages and posts? I doubt that too. Where would that take my credibility to? Zero. Especially if I was a Senior Member.

I guess, I would either apologise to the person or pass it off as a light hearted joke (If I knew him / her well). I certainly wouldn't remain silent, as that would probably reaffirm my guilt / regret over my rash, insensitive statements.

Sometimes we do or say things that we can never take back. I am a new member and I have learnt a lot from this forum. My latest learning is that Anwar Sahab, Saikat, Prem Vijay, Sujju are not prime examples of the forum members behaviour and attitudes. I made a mistake thinking that all the other forum members would be like them - helpful, friendly, kind and considerate. There are some sceptics here, who see "Con Games" hidden behind seemingly friendly actions.

Well, we can't change their perceptions - We see the world, the way we are.

Let me do my bit and see if others decide to follow suit.

Prem Vijay, if my repeated messages or phone calls irritated or disturbed you in anyway, then I would like to apologise to you here and now. Perhaps I mistrusted you, and I was wrong. Thanks for the RC unit at that throwaway price. I haven't checked to see if it works, but I am sure it will. Thanks also for the freebies that you sent along with it.

Cheers!

VC,
I have read through the freebie post by you and am aware of who/what you are referring to.

Everyone has their own individual way of looking at things and maybe their own unique way of thinking and reacting. Personally, I am very skeptical of anyone who uses excessive sugar coating in his/her language. Nothing against anyone in particular, its just the way I am.

So maybe its the same with some of other members.....

And while you may try to set an example, it is also not mandatory that others will follow suit.

Cheers.......

Hi Pankaj.

Perhaps, we need to differentiate between Sugar Coated English and Good Old fashioned English! Of course this NOT an English Learning or Written English forum, I am aware of that. All I am trying to say is that, Miracles/Good things do happen, it has happened to me on this forum itself.

It is a question of BELIEF. A child keeps getting presents from Santa Claus on Christmas morning as long as he BELIEVES in Santa. The day he tells his parents, "Santa does not exist, you have been fooling me by buying presents for me every year and shoving them below the Christmas tree!" Do you think he ever gets a gift from Santa after that?

Another thing, just because it hasn't happened to me, it doesn't mean that it can't happen to others.

•   For example, would I ever dream of gifting a total stranger a Futaba 4 Channel Tx? I don't think so. Saikat did that. We have never ever met each other.

•   Would I sell a struggling RC enthusiast a complete (almost Brand new) 4 Ch Tx + Rx + 2 Servos + High speed brushed motor for a paltry Rs.2000/- (inclusive of courier charges)? Prem Vijay did that for me.

•   Sujju offers to gift me a Fokker D VII kit from Bahrain.

By the way, I am NOT trying to set any examples. Perhaps, I worded it wrong. Maybe I am a very selfish person, who apologised to Prem Vijay, because it made me feel better. :headscratch:I guess it DOES take a lot to accept and believe that you are wrong and it takes even more guts to declare it in public.

Good things do happen. Let sceptics remain sceptics, otherwise the whole world would be full of Happy, Believeing, Fools like me!

Cheers!

We all have our differences, good and bad moods, and right and wrong decisions, words and deeds from time to time.

Someone said being able to forget is the greatest gift given to humans (otherwise how can we cope with, for example,  the loss of someone near and dear) !

So.... take it easy !

Dear Mr VC. What u have written is quiet ellaborate.Mr. Anwar for me has been a god sent angel for me.he has been so supportive to all my queries however obselete or weird it might have sounded to others. We sure can learn from the huge heart he has.what little i know about rc is all thanks to him. We sure can assist him in keeping such a wonderful site by contributing as much or as little we can afford. Mr Anwar kindly provide us bank details to assist the noble gesture and for the kind heartedness he has shown to all. Thanks VC for ur comments as some people had accused me earlier in this forum. Hip hip hurray RCIndia

VC

Dear Prem Vijay,

Hip Hip Hurray indeed for this forum! {:)} {:)} {:)}

I don't care who accused whom for what, but you have given me more than I paid you for.

Anwar sahab has done a great job putting this forum together and nurturing it. We should all be grateful to him for it.

VC you are using "Over dramatic dialogues" again! Control!!! >:D  ;D ;D ;D

As far as Financial Contributions are concerned, we need to get something clarified first - Is Anwar Sahab having to pay from his pocket to maintain and regulate this forum for us? If that is so, then I think it is unfair. I am too small and too new a contributor to comment about this issue. What do the the senior members feel about this?

Cheers!

The finances of the forum is not something I would like public discussion on ;) I am in a very fortunate position of being able to run this with mostly just a bit of personal time.

Also, it is not me who makes this forum work or not work.  Let us discuss more RC, and occasionally other items that are relevant to the world we live in.  People are not important, topics are !
