I'm planning to build a quad but I seriously have no idea on which motors to choose,
Please suggest me best motors and ESC which has good thrust
My budget for 4 motors and ESC is 5k.and I'm using 3s lipo

But i feel that S500 frame is slightly better than Q450...

U could go with x2212 980kv with 1047 prop & 20a esc....
It will fit in the Q450 frame as well...

In some manufacturers (eg. SunnySky )
The first two say the stator diameter....
N the next two say the stator thickness...

Whereas in some manufacturers (eg. NTM),
The first two say the diameter of the whole motor
N the next two say the length (thickness) of the whole motor (excluding the protruding shaft)

I dont think any lhs in india has them in stock now...
U may enquire with rcmumbai whether they have it...
Or else U may have to import from Hobbyking or Banggood

With 4x Sunnysky "X"2212 980kv motor with 20a esc on 3S lipo & 1047 Prop.....u can lift approx. 1800g at max.

The best flight controllers would be PixHawk / DJI Naza / APM... these are expensive but packs a lot of features

If ur going on a budget....the OpenPilot CC3D / Naze32 are good options.....but these dont have the Advanced GPS capabilities

There are 2 versions of Naze32 available i.e. 6 DOF & 10 DOF....

10 DOF Version has compass and baro...which the 6 DOF version laggs...

Choose any between Cc3d and Naze32.....both are good....
I think (not sure) Naze32 is a bit better than cc3d...

But, i wouldn't recommend the kk2.5...

U can use...no problem....only the req. amps will be drawn..
But its better to use a slightly smaller amp esc coz weight will be less...
Each gram could make a difference 😉

No.....it is the total weight that the 4 motors can carry (including their own weight)
Basically the total weight of the quad (including the battery) should not exceed 1.4kg ...in order to get good performance from these motors...

There is a motor called DT750 which has a 1.2kg thrust. but needs 10-12 inch prop.
I have those below in the quad. Even the Quad is for sale. I can see that you want to build a new one, but do you have prior experience of flying?

Then I would recommend to get some RTFs to understand the flight mechanisms and then go for building one... so that you could save some spares and crashes...

I think sunnysky motor is the good one. You can also check at http://www.fitdrones.com/ which has got many other options for motors.
