Title: Quadrotors flying in IPL matches Post by: akky on May 22, 2011, 08:54:34 PM Did anyone notice quadrotors flying in today's IPL match of RCB V/s CSK ...
it had a a black canopy dome shaped and shiny ...with Blue and red LED strips glowing underneath it... was powered by motors of around 1400KV + golden colored small motors ...had had CF Rod frame.. I beleive there is not much time left when RC flying will gain more and more popularity....and importing of Radios , ARFS ,,and other electronics...will become legal.......days are not far when curious neighbors will be hovering their quads and Tri's outside your window have a sneak peak :giggle: :giggle: :banghead: ....... This season, IPL has been using cameras mounted on lines hanging above the field, to capture action from the top. These cameras can be moved around. Here is some news about these "spider" cams.

Title: Re: Quadrotors flying in IPL matches Post by: chanvivek on May 27, 2011, 02:30:47 PM i was there for the match.. the buggy was used to carry drinks to the players during the breaks :) ! and the flying machine was not a quad.. it had 5 or 6 rotors!! whatever u call it ;D ! they hovered it right in front of me :)
