simple to build n fun its very very versatile plane .can be a good beginner and a good fps platform, and it's modular which u don't see a lot of RC planes. I made mine with depron which little lighter than the foam board one I guess and easy to transport. well I would say if u want something like easy star or  Bixler from hobby king but could not buy one then go for FT explorer. Happy flying

flies well!
better build it with corroplast and reinforce the fuselage.

Get a faster motor. I had difficulty flying with my 1200 kv motor. Get at least 1800kv. Reduce the prop size as explorer can't take more than 9"
These are suitable for the old Fogey. Build a old Fogey but with reduced prop size.
Regards

wait I guess I have 12-inch props, weird. yea careful while building the tail it's better to measure twice and cut once than cut twice and measure once

You don't seem to understand. The explorer isn't designed to take a 10" or more. 9" barely fits. Youll have to saw of the tail to fit a 12".
Please at least have a look at flite test's video. Doesnt seem as if you have had a look at it.

All I am saying is that it won't fly well.
I'm not a "sir"
You require a HIGH Kv motor with a faster prop.
Not a low kv motor with a larger prop
