ejecting at mach 2,the air would be like a brick wall.I really doubt the ability of the human body to take such immense G forces.

Either way,it was faked.

Interesting comment about India US training exercise where the SU-30 won over the F-15s.

Ejection seats are designed to function in the entire flight envelope, include 2 mach if the aeroplane is designed to travel at 2 mach, yes forces when you are flying at mach 2 is tremendously high (ask me !! :) ), what happens when you eject at mach 2 ? is the question

1. some aeroplanes forms a capsule around a pilot, (See image) meaning the canopy of the aeroplane latches with the ejection seat and protects the pilot until the speed drops to safe speed for a series of parachute to deploy.

2. Modern aeroplanes have rocket assisted ejection with elbow guards and leg locks prevents injuries by tucking you in (See image and annotation).

3. Drogue chute doesn't deploy until the Indicated Air Speed (Not true speed, for knowing the difference read Basic Aerodynamic thread) is safe for the drogue chute to deploy. That has been the give away in this ejection in question (see image), it is certainly a subsonic ejection, make no mistake. as you can clearly see drogue chute is deployed

Sukhoi's and F-15 are of different league/era aeroplanes. 8000Kms 8 tons of payload, nos of missiles and weapon. F-15 is certainly no match whatsoever, so, the outcome was expected, Yankees were candid about (they most of the times are, candid)
