Greetings Folks,
I'm SKYKALAI, I have a small project with RC Plane, so my Faculty need to take Structural Analysis.
I have a two ways,
1. Theoretical Analysis,
2. Analysis through ANSYS.

Which is better guys?. please lead me to done my project.

If theoretical means I need Formulae and PDF's Grin.

ANSYS means no problem, I make design and Simulate in software. But My Faculty told me to take Theoretical Analysis first. I don't know any procedure and steps in taking theoretical Analysis. I'm a Mechanical Engineering Student. Anyone please lead me to done my project.

If anyone want to help me means please contact me or what's app me @ 7904349761

Thanks in Advance Hats Off

Hi,

By theoretical analysis he wants you to do the analysis of the structure/frame/parts based on mechanical calculations for a sound design like structure yield point, bottle necking or snapping and rupture or failure points/limits. This analysis will involve taking material properties in the account and the way they are transmitting/sharing the load/shocks etc. This is complete paper base justification of a design following mechanical standards like there should not to any redundant link/parts, the DOF should be completely defined, The FOS should be inline with the industry grades or at-least a good safe multiplier, the load transferring structure should be well designed to meet the expected specifications etc.

For any design starting from scratch, theoretical is the first and base step. once your design look good on paper you head to ANSYS or similar final element analysis software.

As this is a plane, apart from doing basic structural analysis, I think you will have to do fluid dynamics analysis too as air dynamic forces will be involved here. That can also be done in Ansys with some plugin (I don't exactly recall it).

This will be a good learning. Go ahead !!!

Hi Sky,

You will have to do the digging. Its been more then a decade I did anything of this sort. Connect with you seniors (if you are not in final year) or any professor to help you out.

I don't think a research paper is needed in this project.
