Sorry for posting in this forum. This is the only forum I could remotely find after hours of searching on the Internet.

I am an hobbyist who is exploring Electromagnetic spectrum. I hold a Bachelors in Engineering. Procuring HackRF(https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/HackRF_One) was a long time dream, As I have financial stability now. I ordered one from aliexpress. I totally forgot that Radio Equipments are in Restricted list in India. I have explored Amateur Radio in my college days and didn't get a License, My bad.

Now the item is in Chennai Custom Office it seems. I am awaiting a letter from them.

Issue 1: I really need this beautiful piece of hardware and I am willing to pay custom duty too. I am pretty sure, they will not release the item, as I don't have any proper license.
Issue 2: Even if I show and willing to pay the fees, there is a possibility that, I will not get that Item and on top of that, I will be penalized.

I am completely lost, any inputs will be of great help.

What is the shipping method? If it is postal and the seller did not write radio on the package, there is a little chance of custom hold.

@newpg202 You are correct indeed. I ordered the basic version just the Development board. I received it today. No hassle. Buying without any antenna might have helped. Thanks a ton.
