Hi,i am thinking of buying my first rc plane,most probably a foam glider i.e the STEALTH from rc bazaar.Needed advice whether to go for it or no?. Thank You

I,after seeing ur suggestions went to the net and found the flitetest tiny trainer at 2k including shipping.But on their website they say that only the airframe is at that price and no electronics but just below this a list of things in the kit which is given which is as follows:
1.airframe
2.powerpod(mini)
3.firewall(mini)
4.Push rods
5.control horns
6.BBQ skewer
Can somebody pls give me some clarity this.Would be very beneficial for me.

These are part of the air frame.
Not electronics.
Have you seen the flite test build video?
You need to buy motor, ESC, servos, tx/rx.

Oh sorry didnt knew since new to this hobby but where can i get the electronics from? I saw half of the video but got bored since i dont have it i stopped it

Vortex hobby may also have an electronic package for the tiny trainer. Just check though.

Deepankar, I don't see the tiny trainer listed on the vortex hobby website.
Better go for the FT explorer with the electronics package.
Or the VT Allrounder with the electronics package.

Hi, prabal and utkarsh.just saw ur posts.I checked on the rchyper site and found the tiny trainer as well as the power pack A kit required for the mighty mini plane series by flite test. It is at the same price and has been told that it is similar to that of the flitetest product. Should i consider it? I have also planned to go for an RCB6i avionics transmitter so that in future i don't have to buy a second transmitter. Is my choice right?

go for the fly sky i6. I have both, the rcb 6i and fs i6.
The FS-i6 is Light Years ahead.
There is no tiny trainer on the RC Hyper Web-site. In my opinion, you should go for the explorer from vortex hobbies.
Get the following:

In addition, Get a battery (maybe 2) as one is not enough (Stay away from wolfpack and cheap lipos)
A gens ace battery is available in the combo as an extra.
Get a radio with reciever (fs i6)(Around 3.5K)
And a balance charger. (DO NOT GET A B3)(A Imax B6 will do)(1.5K)

Since this is a larger plane it comes with beefier setup, you will be able to use the electronics on a variety of future planes (upto 48").
Please DO NOT buy cheap and cloned stuff as it will be much more expensive in the long run. Do not make the mistakes that i have made earlier.

Completely agree with Prabal both for radio and mini.

If I wanted to learn to ride a bicycle, I could
1. Buy one and get some help/instructions
2. Build one from parts
3. Design a bicycle myself

Similar choices are available for entering RC flying.
Have to be clear about one's objective.
Learning to fly? To build? To design?
Do not confuse these three.

The best way to learn to fly RC (without pain) is:
1. Pay training fee and learn from an instructor on his model, with no expenditure on hardware
2. Use a proven combo of RC and model, with or without a friend to guide you.

Or you can experiment with alternatives, with different probabilities of success!
The alternatives can however provide a lot of joy, even if they fail to help you fly successfully!

Rchyper.com has the i6 but for 4600. It's a newer version.
Get the one with ia6 receiver. Not the multirotor one.
Here in Delhi, we get the i6 for 3100 RS in Chandni Chowk.
Yes, it has everything except the battery (which can be added from the Dropbox on the same product page)
This along with the tx/rx and airframe kit is all you need.
I hope you have knives, hot glue gun, soldering iron.

prabal, sry to trouble you but at the flite test site the recommended motor is a 2200kv but the power pack at vortex rc has a turnigy motor of only 1400kv. will the plane fly with it?

Mode 2 means that throttle is on your left .
You can adjust the other channels as you like.
Don't worry about the Kv. My explorer flies with 1200.

But  specific advice.
1. Dont test motor to DC, it will be burnt. Connect with ESC and then only check.
2. Be careful of CG. Make glide test.

and also,
3. Test in simulator using simulator cable with Tx or analog joypad, before real flight.
4. Land on long grass to avoid damage to the plane.

What I think is that SPAD's are a tad bit faster.
That's why I recommended a depron model to deepankar.
