Also do we need a license to legally fly rc models in india? like a flying license or something

You dont need any licence for flying models as the frequency is 2.4ghz, legally accepted worldwide for use of Radio control. Post by: banjo on March 09, 2017, 08:05:47 PM ETA will be needed if you do not have approval for that item or product with the WPC. If you buy your product locally chances are the dealer or distributor has obtained for equipment type license. If your product is unique and not been approved by WPC, you will need to apply for ETA and Import license there after. ETA is usually valid for life for the model. Import License is valid for 1 year.
