The forum is mostly in autopilot mode now as Sunil is not in the country any more and not active in RC community any where. This is what I've heard in the circle  Undecided

RC India for two straight reasons not considering any previous happenings or conflicts of any nature.

1) Response time: You get a response to a query as soon as you post, even before you can google it.
2) Sheer volume of activity on RC India: As I see it now, 15 most recent posts in IndiaRC range from Dec 19 2011 to Jan 12 2012 (its not even Jan 16) but in RC India 15 most recent have been from 8 AM Jan 16 to 2 PM Jan 16. I don't think anything more needs to be said.

The second point was the only driving force as a beginner to move to RC India, although I can now say there are a lot more reasons to be here.

Hi. Mr Augustinev, Smiley Was it necessary to kick up dust when things are taking their own course to settle in their own way?  Discuss Am not aware of the old row / differences of opinion; but I feel that those who see both the sites are mature enough to decide which way to turn or utilize the source / knowledge they glean, to their own advantage. If people find another forum more useful later on, they DO move on to it. Lips Sealed It is but natural. Some things die naturally, one need not retard / hasten the process by stirring up passions. Just let the time decide.

PS: Am not sitting on any judgement. Just noted what I felt as a first reaction. Open to correction.

RC India - Flying and racing with open minds !

This thread would have made sense about a year ago.  Even though it is not intended by the OP, this thread now would seem like an unwanted/untimely comparison Head Scratching

We do need more technical discussions, build threads etc on this forum, to match the amount of classifieds activity. Original content is getting dearer by the day, since most of the commonly needed information has already been posted and discussed.

Information sharing improves knowledge of both.

In early years different puja committee in kolkata have tight budget but with overflowing brotherhoods by which they cross any hurdle. But now, as different award and Ad enhances /increases the fund, brotherhood reduces and become some business to a few persons (Rset of course asides). But still in a village puja where initial fund was very poor but taken care by Some NRI high income group (as they realize what love/brotherhood is) cares others tooooo much, the puja become grand success unlike business oriented puja.

Here Anwar, VC, thread creator, UjjwanaSir, and other dedicated persons taking care of other newcomers and the room is increasing in GP. And above all, All of us leg pull the business people who just takes a very high margin (Like pic. from .ru domain, etc. etc.) which can ruin beginner's interest completely (Like 10 Ch. thanks divyam).

And moreover, VK, Sai, Sujju, Anam, vasudev, RCD, giving proper support as LHS (Only LHS, No! dedicated LHS) are doing their work extremely good, and this suppliers are increasing the popularity of this hobby unlike other forum. I dont want to take even name of that as it may increase the name in this page and may increase rank.

However, I have registered with that also so that no other can take the same name and can post.

Perhaps A big salute should be giveen to hobbyking and broadband suppliers also.

L'enfant Terrible du RCIndia

@ essaargee - well said! +1

@ Anwar Sahab - why didn't you nip it in the bud as soon as it was posted? This thread / post was not required here at all. What is the point in eulogising now?

It was a foregone conclusion that people belonging to this fraternity would obviously vote in favour of this forum over the other. No one wants to upset a hornet's nest or would like to be proved to be a  Vibishan here!

Please be aware that I am not a member THERE. I have no fraternity involved and am still probably the one with the second highest reputation / posts / number of hours spent on THIS forum.

What blessed need do these one sided polls cater to other than enhance the post / reputation counts of the originator / posters.

I didn't notice a similar post / poll in the OTHER forum. Perhaps they are not bothered about the way we feel about them. Why are we otherwise? IMHO, juvenile posts such as these are a waste of time and only serve to take us down a few notches . Let bygones be bygones. As a previous poster pointed out "If people find another forum more useful later on, they DO move on to it". How apt.

Some people seem to be obsessed with comparisons. Stop looking in the rear view mirror lads, just go ahead and follow the uncharted road ahead. Blaze a trail or learn from the leaders. End of story.

Let us not encourage such topics in future. After all, the opposite of love is not hate, it is indifference.

Right now, die hard members over THERE are gloating over the fact that we are bothered about them while they don't give a %*#@ about us.

I love this forum and it is part of my daily routine. Perhaps, in spite of my 'Reputation' here, I do not contribute to the learning curve of other members in 'teaching' them as some of the other 'reputed' members do. However, it does hurt me to see www.rcindia.org suffer due to the reckless actions of a  few individuals. What a shame!

Btw, the term "Yeoman" refers to a subordinate/servant or an assistant. Someone lower in rank/stature  than oneself - http://www.thefreedictionary.com/yeoman.

I don't think either of the two forums befit this description - perhaps Ombudsman /Ombudsforum  Huh? would be a better description - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ombudsman

Cheers!

Practice, and only Practice will make you perfect

(a). Please read carefully

Aim is not to bring down anyone, aim is, for this poll to showup on search so that people know where to hangout more, to learn more.

(b).
i saw a lot of common members. You all will have better answer,

(c). What is yeoman, who is he, is known to a 5th grade, all of us are are providing our service (I think i am even much lower than Yeoman in rank) to RC. Even a retiring Air Chief , Army chief and such people of eminence are refered to have provided such service.

(d) What has brought shame is the fact that some people had a ball of a time in the guise of camping and teaching. that is shame. lesser said about it the better

(e) I will not tell anyone how to run a forum and question their wisdom. others please dont

Like i said, if it shows up in the search that much better informed people joining will be, if it means eulogising so be it.

a piece of my mind to all of you who are starting off, "in this hobby of Aeromodelling you will break models you will encounter failures more often in the initial stages, let that not dissuade you from continuing further, if you dont you will end up a wannbe modeller , who being in this hobby for long wont be able to fly for nuts , keep some models at home and feel happy, " and end up a gas bag with no skills. to show one up, bring others down. this unchartered road and all that is angreji, aeromodelling requires hands on flying time with no fear, if it breaks, it breaks , move on make another one and fly.

PS
This post is in response to Ujjwalis's post and the ridiculing language by sunil , with a sole purpose of promoting one LHS. Without some research people shoot off their mouth, because they only have that.

PPS
Anwar Bhai that is it from my side, will not respond to "Failures in life" who require psychiatric help any further. both the post can be suitably modified. or the thread removed.
