HXT 12k is noisy too..if you care for it.
Title: Re: 100cc + Giants (FlyRc) Post by: anwar on March 12, 2011, 10:06:01 PM Speed also seems to be better for the FlyRC ones.
Title: Re: 100cc + Giants (FlyRc) Post by: rcpilotacro on March 13, 2011, 04:39:19 AM Just a little price comparison here.
For a JR DS8455 Digital Servo Metal Gear Product Code : [DS8455] DS8455 SPECIFICATIONS Torque: 6.5kg.cm Speed: 0.10S/60° Size: 34.5 x 19 x 38mm Weight: 60g Price Rs 5,500.00 http://rotor.co.in/show-detail.asp?prodid={866450FB-D4C6-4225-BC22-6826DE410825}&pn=1 Hitec 5985MG Size : 1.6"x 0.8"x 1.5" 39 x 20 x38 mm Weight : 2.18 oz 62 g. Torque 4.8/6.0v : 144 / 172oz. 10.4/12.4 kg. Speed 4.8/6.0v : 0.16 /0.13 second Price Rs 3,650.00 (http://rotor.co.in/show-detail.asp?prodid={24F021B5-3BE5-4CDD-B244-8FDB38B1130D}&pn=1) Where as this Power HD DS-090M Digital servo wt 1.98 oz 56 gms dim (56.0 g) 1.65×0.81×1.56 in (41.9×20.6×39.6 mm) torque 6.0V: 133.3 oz-in (9.6 kg-cm) speed 6.0V:0.10 sec/60° it has dual Dual Bearings costs 2300 with free shipping Not a bad deal in my opinion, i could be wrong, anyone can come up with a better research, don't pl compare with HK, with any of the indian LHS, time delay, Shipping loss, and there are people like us, who can't touch foreign sites with a barge pole. PS Some items in RCDhamaka are cheaper than HK, in terms of landing cost at home Title: Re: 100cc + Giants (FlyRc) Post by: CrazyPilot on March 13, 2011, 08:49:25 AM and there are people like us, who can't touch foreign sites with a barge pole. Sir, May I please ask WHY? Title: Re: 100cc + Giants (FlyRc) Post by: anwar on March 13, 2011, 09:23:49 AM Related to policies at his place of work.
Title: Re: 100cc + Giants (FlyRc) Post by: gauravag on March 13, 2011, 09:25:04 AM and there are people like us, who can't touch foreign sites with a barge pole. Sir, May I please ask WHY?If you followed posts, common sense. HD Servos are OK for the price but no ways do they compare with Hitec/Futaba/JR ( my opinion ). Servos are usually very good investments. A Good digital servo would not only last long, but also save your plane in the long run. Difference of 1300 ( between HD and Hitec ) is not much and I would suggest you go for Hitec for your gasser. Title: Re: 100cc + Giants (FlyRc) Post by: rcpilotacro on March 13, 2011, 09:35:19 AM Gaurav,
i get it, i got PMs (Not PMS ;D) too, some of them are using HD servos, they are talking highly of it, i have been using them in my foamies to park master acromaster and other multiplex stuff, quite nice, in fact one of my aeroplane has hd and hk hxt 9 gm servo, hxt jitters hd doesn't in all channels even without load. that's why i was thinking of HD MG. Having said that, in one channel of pitch and roll, hitec MG is certainly worth thinking about, from you gasser veterans :thanks: Title: Re: 100cc + Giants (FlyRc) Post by: gauravag on March 13, 2011, 02:35:10 PM PMS lol.
No doubt HD is better than HXT. But with gassers its a total different different league than electrics. Higher vibration, stresses and loads do take a toll on servos in the long run. Plus I do not think its a good idea to mix diffeent servo brands for elevators. Since you need the two halves of the elevator to move at the same speed/angle, same brand servos should be preferred. At best you should use Hitec for elevators and rudder and use whatever you want for the rest. Servos do cost a lot. Typically for a gasser setup the cost of servos gets equal to or more than the airframe. But then, servos do last really long is installed and used properly. Also, if you do take Hitec servos - Go for the 7XXX range and not the 5XXX range. They are newer and better designed ( as they say ) . 7965MG is a good one i think . 7955TG is the best, with titanium gears, but exensive. Title: Re: 100cc + Giants (FlyRc) Post by: pvn2000 on March 13, 2011, 03:16:03 PM Hmmm different minds clashing i guess :headscratch:,i suggest let the individual who want to buy them do his own research and then decide, everyone is wise enough here ,,
i would always say before buying any model / electronics etc do your homework Suggestions and experiences are to be shared, newbies-- improvise on an idea and suggestion dont follow it blindly after all it belongs to someone else :) |
