nice vishalrao,
good combo of electronics.....i would stick to poly dihedral  UC wing with tip dihedral as i noticed that these wings help the airplane to balance it self out mid air with out the pilot doing much so  it perfect for  a beginner as the airplane corrects it self. just my 2cents as i have build many airplane with UC wings great for begginners......in fact i learnt to fly on one of these wings.........go for it guys good beginners airplane with a good combo of electronics.
you could may be make another wing like a Aileron version and add it to the kit for experienced piolts so you have two versions sold UC and Aileron.... all this is just my suggestion...all the best Hats Off

@romanxdsouza Thank for the feedback and inputs Smiley Much appreciated!

Your first model is always very important. Your experience with it greatly determines your future with Aeromodelling. Of course, some are passionate and persistent and they make it happen. But majority are not. Mini Floater is created with an intent to make the experience of Aeromodelling pleasurable and joyful for a beginner. And to give them the necessary boost and confidence to pursue this wonderful hobby.

Once the first model is successful, they get the necessary confidence to experiment and build further on their own.

1 booked for AshwinRwt. 4 left.

@AshwinRwt This IS for beginners. And I can assure that it would be one of the easiest models you have ever flown. However, I would strongly recommend not to fly it on your own if you haven't actually flown an RC plane before. If there are regular fliers in your locality, get their help to fly it for the first time. Help them rectify balancing issues and trim if required. Then attempt on your own (with an expert beside you for first hour at least), provided you have plenty of simulator practice.

If you can drop by at our place, we can help you fly this in an hour, of course with sufficient simulator practice.

Thanks, just finished watching the build videos, this kit is very exciting.
May I know what material is used, and what other type of glue we can use? My hot glue gun is broken and that epoxy isn't available near me. Will fevicol work? Will fevikwik eat the foam? Thanks.

The material is Biofoam or "Depron" as many call it.

It is laminated with clear packing tape. However, the edges are bare and hence, CA (Fevikwik) will eat the foam. Also, Fevikwik isn't that effective on clear tape.

Please check stationery stores as they keep 5 minute epoxy (Fevitite/Araldite Klear).

I'm afraid Fevicol doesn't hold well too.

Another option is to cover the edges again with normal cello tape and then use Fevibond (Rubber based adhesive). This again eats foam and hence must be used only after covering the edges with tape.

I really loved building this plane, and it turned out really nice and professional looking. Everything is top class and reasonably priced. It even came with battery and rubberbands. I would recommend this to anyone getting into rc hobby.

I finally finished assembly of mini floater...it was very exciting and very very easy during the assembly.
The flight was little difficult as I was used to using ailrons...but with practice  I hope to overcome the problem. Everyone enjoyed the flight and it was really crash resistant.  Thumbs Up

Thank you for posting your experience vishal Smiley It's much appreciated!

Keep the throws less or fly with Dual Rates and it should be very easy.

Not sure why you were having problems. Did you use the Aileron channel to connect the rudder or you used Rudder channel (Mode 2)?

BTW, your build has come out very good  Clap Clap

That's the reason you were finding it difficult. You can simply connect the Rudder to Aileron channel and then you can use the Aileron input to control the Rudder (Right hand). As it is a tip dihedral wing, the Rudder will work like Aileron.

I usually  fly nitro...but never before had flown a plane without ailrons...so every time I wanted the mini floater to turn I'd turn my right stick (channel  1) n nothing...  Grin
This  was the confusing  part...but it was fun
