I usually don't like to spend huge money on ARF, but this one is special coz this is X-uav Talon. Among X-Uav suka, Skyhunter, RQ-7 Shadow and Talon i choose this for several reason- 1. Large wing area 2. High wing loading 3. V-tail aerodynamic efficiency 4. Front glass cockpit is good for camera mounting, however i'm going to use gimbal 5. Heavy payload capability 6. Small fuselage which creates less surface drag 7. compact and easy design 8. T/W ratio is less 9. my old equipment is not sufficient for new mapping requirement So i bought it from RcBazaar for Rs.10,800/- and my sis is getting it for me which saved Rs1500/- of shipping It will reach by 25 Oct. for electronics i'm still looking for a good efficient motor most probably a low KV multirotor motor 40A esc with extra 5A BEC 3X12g servo would be good enough Currently i'm using APM2.5 for mapping but i'm willing to get a Pixhawk cube I've Xiaomi yi and Nex7 for long range filming and mapping EzUHF LRS on 9XR pro is sufficient for my purpose Here are some reference pics Title: Re: 'Sweeptakes2016' entry#2 X-UAV Talon kit Post by: K K Iyer on October 22, 2016, 07:19:49 PM @antriksh,
No bonus entries for an ARF! However, even a single entry for this plus bonus entries for your (proposed) Spitfire, should give you a good chance, as there are so few entries so far! Best of luck.
