HYDRO PLANER.....

Thank you all respected Members.. i designed this aircraft after a long study and self research.. and choose the tractor configuration as easy option.. but it never stops there.. the more revised version, and a neat pusher is also in test.. will update one by one.. a mid wing is already tested, but its too responsive to a beginner.. but the low wing version is comparatively better.. will update all one by one.. and will post one of my re revised version, of easy fly, and will share all build logs.. and full measurements.. working on.. Salute Salute Salute

What a marvelous plane. It looks very sturdy and doesn't display any signs of what it's made from. I thought it would show the ribbing from the cardboard to some degree, but it appears very smooth. I like it's lines, simple and not gaudy and the colour is very striking.

You bought back many memories of 61 years ago when at the age of 8 my Father sat down at the kitchen table and showed me how to build my first plane. I christened it Suzie, not far off your Susan, in fact in the UK the shortened name of Susan is Suzie or actually Suzanne, but it's close.  I flew the wings off that plane, I did many odd jobs for my neighbors so I could buy fuel, which back then was rather expensive as it's main ingredient was chloroform, that's what doctors used to put their patients to sleep for operations. Very dangerous to work with and on a freezing cold day with the windows closed and a hot fire I would go to sleep from the fumes.

I've watched you videos and I was disappointed not to see how she behaves in a stall, I would imagine she's simply lower her head and recover quickly with no wing overs. I did have a smile when I saw how she flew, it definitely wasn't all that slow, in fact she had a real lick of speed up in some shots. No doubt you had her under power, but it would have been nice to see her with the throttle low or even just gliding to see how well behaved she is at low speed.

What was the power plant you use in Susan and what size battery will she take?  I wish I was in India, if I was I'd definitely buy one myself. Some years ago I was set to buy a plane from a gentleman who had just started his business, but something went wrong and I believe the business was no more. I was eager to try out a plane made of cardboard. I was given a small sheet of it by a friend.  It's used to make advertising signs which are very light weight and easily transportable. I was surprised to find it was coated in something like alight coating of plastic which made it very waterproof.  Unfortunately I haven't been able to find anyone who sells it by the large  sheet. But then I live in the Australian bush and everything is hard to find out here, except Kangaroos and flies.:-)

Just for interests sake, how much do you charge for making a Susan? Because it it and the shipping was agreeable to both, I'd definitely consider ordering one from you.  Then I could finally do as I originally wanted. Have a plane which wasn't made of balsa or foam, plus be the only one in town with a genuine Indian product. :-)

Congratulations on a terrific build, well done.

Hi Rupesh,

I am simply impressed with your build(s), the indigenous AFS system and your scientific logics.
I would surely like to own one of these models and I will contact Mr Sai Krishna.

I wish I was staying close to Kerala so I could personally interact with you ( I live in Delhi), and would have assisted you in whatever way I could.

I would like the contact number of Mr Sai Krishna for acquiring one of the models.

My best wishes.
