Title: [BUILD] Boeing C-17 Globemaster III
Post by: yash10896 on April 23, 2014, 01:19:00 AM
Hey guys!!  ;D
Recently started my next build of globemaster it will not be for sweepstakes as i will be leaving this build for a month as i have exams so here some of the pics of the progress so far..
Specifications:
1500mm fuse
1450mm Wingspan

Power Plant :
2 X 64mm EDF's Dr. Mad Thrust
2 X 60A HK ESC
2200mah 45-90C nanotech battery
Turnigy all metal retracts
6 X EMAX ES08AII servos's
[/b]

I wanted to confess that the last scratch build that i did was HAL HT2 which flew but was too heavy  :banghead: so this time i will not be using any hot glue only foam glue of different types(gorilla glue,UHU POR and HK Foam glue)... 8-)

Special Thanks to :

M.Kumaran sir(rcparkjets)
Nithin sir(nithinraj kotian)
Sanjay sir(sanjayrai)
Chintal sir
Kewal sir(kewalkalsaria)
Chris sir(DemonDriver)
he helped me a lot during the problems while doing my homework for 5 months  :giggle: :giggle:

This is one of my most ambitious build till date so will be a slow one as will look into every detail
so fasten your seat belts here i go :D

Use coro for wing with the flutes along the chord. use a good balsa spar on it and have some corro ribs. you will have a rock solid wing.

 {:)} {:)}

Wonderful; build ......

I saw that you are using Dremal's glue gun!!!   ....... this itself shows your quality consciousness and appreciation for highquality work.

Generally glugun is the most ignored instrument in the complete cnstruction process; :giggle:

Title: Re: [BUILD] Boeing C-17 Globemaster III
Post by: yash10896 on April 25, 2014, 01:32:01 PM
@asinghatiya sir i used dremel glue gun only for making temperory wheel stopper for landing gear :D in all the build i have used only UHU POR and Gorilla Glue :D that's quality conscious :P
@girishsarwal sir i will used 3mm depron to conver it and for paint i am confused as i can nowhere find compressor :( for airbrush system
@nithin thank you sir :D

I used Dremel 3000 for cutting CF Tubes and rods its a fantastic tool must buy :)

Watching this thread with a lot of interest. Whether she flies or not, this is going to be a very impressive build.

By the way, Topalle (16), Maahinberi (20), Yash10896 (almost 18) - all you kids can call me (almost 50) Uncle / Grandpa. No problems!

great going yash! i would never be able to build something like this! i'm actually very curious as to how you're gonna sculpt the fuselage... whatever method you use, im gonna use that for my next build xD :P
so what paint scheme are you going for? IAF :P
PS: i'm 17 Years and 10 months :P :P :P

Aniket, yet another nephew  ;D - pick up some depron/ biofoam plates from the market. Chop them up into manageable squares / rectangles. They are great for these jobs.

Title: Re: [BUILD] Boeing C-17 Globemaster III
Post by: topalle on April 27, 2014, 06:24:49 AM
These cannot be used to make the structure or can they be used?

@VC Thank You sir i am also worried about it flying well not of the model but me :)
@aniket yeah i am going for IAF theme "Mera Bharat Mahan" :D and about sheeting wait and watch :P
@topalle reason i am not participating in sweepstake is exams :( and also it is a big build so will take time :)
anyway will leave this build from tomorrow and will continue after 27th May about to upload some updates..

Yash, I'm getting more and more involved with this build. Go slow, build accurate. She will be a magnificent bird just sitting there. There is a lot of reference material available on the net for the Globemaster - use it and detail, detail, detail.

Don't rush this build - she is special.

All the best.

Yesterday was my SAT exam got the permission to work on this beast for 2 days so here is the work done till now
1.Winglets done looks scale  >:D
2.Did some secondary reinforcements of wing section using the idea of bridges where you do zigzag rod structure :)
3.Controls surfaces done using balsa instead of only foam as it is more rigid.. Balsa is sandwiched between two 3mm depron structure
4.Lots of sanding for mid section to make it more scale looking  (:|~

Excellent build yash keep it up. I saw earlier that you are planning on using the 64mm Dr. mad thrust EDF's would love to see a few pic of the power system. Also what is your expected AUW and roughly how much thrust does the edf unit provide.

Post by: yash10896 on May 04, 2014, 09:32:44 PM
Power setup as requested by subbu sir   ;D
My expected AUW will be 1600-1800g max as only power setup is 1000g here's how: used digital weighing machine
1. EDFs-281g
2.LEDs-25g
3.Retracts-120g
4.ESCs-120g
5.Miscellaneous-80g
6.Battery-300g
7.Servos-60g
Approx:1000gms

Each EDF at half throttle will produce 700-800g of thrust(so 1400-1600g thrust expected) and being a cargo plane for scale flying it requires 1:2 thrust to weight ratio so there is no problem in it :) ....

;D yash, sir is to be used for people who have earned it for example sanjay sir.

As for the electronics they look really good. I want to know a little more about your battery system I saw at the beginning you mentioned 2200mah nanotech. I am assuming you are using 2 3S's one for each edf is that right?

Subbu

Title: Re: [BUILD] Boeing C-17 Globemaster III
Post by: yash10896 on May 04, 2014, 10:14:29 PM
no sir i am using 4s 2200mah nanotech 45-90c larger C rating battery required for so much amps each edf will take about 45-50A and 2.2*50=100A constant so no voltage problem there but using one battery will surely reduce flight time....
i am making battery type y-connector which i got the idea from a flite test model don't remember the name but it was twin engine one...

Just a thought don't you think it would be simpler to power each edf with its own battery no need for a y cable then. From one of the ESC's just remove the positive wire and then y cable the 2 ESC to Rx wires. I used that setup on my 747 build a while back and worked fine.

Battery Y (parallel) connector may help situations where one battery fails or is at a different charge level than the other ... a little more wire load though...

Are the edf's counter-rotating?

Post by: yash10896 on May 05, 2014, 03:31:39 PM
@girishsarwal sir nope they are same side rotating and will take subbu sir advice of removing positive from y lead....

Any more suggestion are surely welcomed :)

Giving small amount of time of the day for solving different build problems and one which was a mojor one was naccelles as very less information is available on internet about building naccelles with foam everybody builds with fiberglass but its messy one and i am not confident with it so made like 5 prototypes before i found the correct one tried on HD Foam with hot wire foam cutting but didn't succeeded so then tried with shaping like cone but that also didn't worked and finally with did work has taken my whole day its a long route but made me reach my destination :)

So here is pics of it before sanding and after epoxying(if their is any word like that :) ) it sanded for like half an hour nonstop then final result was satisfying :D

@yash10896
Wish you had used long thin strips to plank the fuselage lengthwise instead of crosswise panels between bulkheads. Would have been much better structurally.
See for example balsa planking on gajjark's boat hull.

Anyway, since fuselage is nearly complete, two suggestions for you to consider.

Try to put in a few longerons, ie, continuous wood/cf strips from nose to tail. Use bamboo strips if necessary.

Cover the fuselage with glass cloth of less than 30gms/sqmt, using finishing epoxy. I am able to keep it down to 10gm/ sqft by scraping most of the epoxy off with a credit card before it dries.
If you dont have finish cure epoxy, use Touchwood or Wonderwood PU. not so strong, but works.

Since this is such a labour intensive project, take every precaution. Best wishes.

@ Iyer sir thank you very much for suggestion i really need all i can get from seniors as regarding stuctural integrity i have considered your suggestion and used bamboo skewers for connecting 3-4 formers length wise...
i am really not confident in fibreglassing but will keep in touch with you for step to step process and i really want to fibreglass it i have fg cloth bought from hk and i usally use araldite as epoxy but i am looking forward in having a good chat with you

I have done the upper sheeting portion and battery hatch made in front section for correct CG used pinned hinge and one servo horn to use as pull/push :D

UPDATE!!!
so as told earlier now it will be dead slow build :giggle:
what i was able to do this weekend was sanding and just sanding its a laborious work...
sanded the LE and some portions of wing for smoothness and now it looks like a single wing not three parts of wing(mid section and two seperate wing)....

anything you guys like to tell me to make this build more interesting is always welcome :)

Well dear Yash..... All I can say is best of luck.....
I say so because I am a  lot concerned about the overall strength of the fuselage, Fin and the Wing.  Though I make smaller planes than your but I do use Plywood or Glass Fibre cloth with epoxy to provide strength at a lot pf places.... my wings are far stronger even if they are just 4 - 5 feet in plan....

Post by: shobhit17 on July 08, 2014, 05:24:17 PM
Well... your wing too needs more strength.... the wing loading is going to be enough to breast the present setup.... You may consider using a hardwood spar along the top and bottom of the wing along with balsa LE and a TE...... the centre section would be ok if it is given a layer of glass fibre..
I have broken many a wings while doing aeros..... and the latest was able a month ago... repaired the same wing with a vertical hard balsa 5mm spar....all along the center section and up to more than half the span...

Title: Re: [BUILD] Boeing C-17 Globemaster III
Post by: yash10896 on July 08, 2014, 05:29:45 PM
please see the whole thread.. i have used balsa spar(6mm) on center line and balsa ribs which are way stonger as they are 6mm each... and for LE i think foam can take the pain of that and also i will be fiber glassing the whole wing and fuse....

naccelle made for 2nd EDF and installed on wing using araldite epoxy....
did wiring of led's,servo's and motor wiring....
mounted new screws as before it was M3 which doesn't seem strong enough so i had gone for M6 ones..
mounted a switch for led as it brightens even if tx is off when connected with battery so i had gone for this type of solution....

What purpose are you using the switch for? If it is from an old-school model/receiver battery switch, used between lipo and the rest of the electrics, better take it off the circuit completely.

They are not rated for high power circuitry and just for the Alkaline/NiCad's, which does not load up the switch. Even back in those days, the switch was considered fancy as it only increases the points-of-failure.. It is always advisable that you consider to minimise the points of failures while designing/building anything for the matter that operates critical systems.

Note: Critical systems means, for us in such as airframe-design in an aircraft, its control systems [like elevator, ailerons, etc], communication systems and it has the same interests like in medical electronics, disaster control systems, etc..

Points-of-failure means, all those components that are involved in a system which could impair the system off its fundamental purpose, for example, between the servo and a control surface [say elevator], we can minimise/limit the number of components used that may not be necessary altogether for functioning of the system. As an alternative, you can just use a metal wire [as push rod] with both the ends bent as Z between the two horns and reduce/completely-takeoff the use of clevis and thereby limit the points of failure, in this case the clevis as they are "not must have's".

Clevis has its advantage when it serves the ease of usability to detach/attach the joints in case the servo and the removable part [maybe the wing] that can be used during transporting back and forth to the airfield/hanger. So in such case, the clevis will hold the position of the trimmed position with the ease of field de/linking the actuators to its intended terminals.

Ok back to your story, in short you may directly connect the battery terminal to the Esc or any drain source it has to be connected and thereby lessening the chance of failure by one point [here in this case, the switch].

PS: Your soldering/electronics skills are commendable! :goodjob:

yes i have done nose steering mechanism and uploading the pics i will do i video of all working components after finishing it...

Great! I was thinking of doing it for my coro plane (I know it isnt needed. but I just want to experiment). Searched internet after posting here. got lot of ideas. But what channel will you use for steering?  :headscratch:

i use channel 7 of fs th9x its a flip switch you have to programme it like "throttle hold" in AUX ch 7....
if you need help pm me :)

EDIT : sorry for the confusion guys but i use steering of nose gear using a y-cable with rudder so when rudder moves right, the wheels also moves right u have to change the servo horn pushrod location for synchronizing it :)
hope it helps

@yash10896
Did i mention sometime back that the servo arm on the aileron servos is too long?
Shorten it else too much movement on aileron!
(Further, as a general rule, the horn on the moving control surfaces should be as close to the hinge line as possible...)
Hope you got the epoxy for fibre glassing.
Can you also mention wing span, chord, weight and EDF/motor size?

Title: Re: [BUILD] Boeing C-17 Globemaster III
Post by: yash10896 on July 25, 2014, 02:11:23 PM
sir i will reduce it for sure i remember what you told me about that don't worry sir :)
and for horn sir i did research and found that for scale transport aircraft flying it required less throws so i think there will be low deflection angle on ailerons...
i got epoxy 2 bottle each of 130g for fibreglassing should 1 layer of 18g/m^2 will be enough or 2 layers...
i will go for 48g/m^2 for mid section of wing as it requires greater strength...

Specs :

fuselage: 1500mm
wing span:1405mm
naccelles: 74mm
edf's : 64mm

And here is some pro information specially made for you Iyer sir using 53 paper on ipad :)
Root Chord(A)-280mm
Tip Chord(B)-100mm
Sweep Distance(S)-300mm
Half span(Y)-650mm
% MAC Balance : 35%
Sweep Distance at MAC(C)-126.3mm
MAC : 204.2mm
MAC distance from root(d)-273.7mm
Balance Point at Root Chord(CG)-228.4mm

Haha.
Everything i need for an afternoon of headscratching!
Except wing area and estimated all up weight!

Remember to include the area of the wing intersected by the fuselage. Your 2 half spans of 650 don't add up to the total span of 1405.

I think you may have already come across this:

http://adamone.rchomepage.com/cg_calc.htm (http://adamone.rchomepage.com/cg_calc.htm)

Remember that all initial homebuilds have a risk of not flying. If you let that stop you, there would be no progress. So carry on regardless.

2. Suggestion for cockpit interior!

sir half span add upto approx 1300mm and rest is mid section hd foam which u forgot :D
and sir i saw that german guy paper build its fantastic but i can't compete with him on this :)
and thank you for that valuable information about hinges, horns and servo horns :) thats really helpful....
sir i will calculate wing area sorry for that and AUW will be 1-1.3kg that normal in these airliners build that i scrolled over on RCG and chris sir (demondriver) also told me that in airliner weight to thrust ratio can be 1:1 or 2:1 so no problem there as edf will produce 800-1000g of thrust each on 4s...

Title: Re: [BUILD] Boeing C-17 Globemaster III
Post by: K K Iyer on July 25, 2014, 09:19:10 PM
Yash,
We MUST have an estimate of the wing loading.
You have to calculate the total wing area and weigh the entire project till now. Then estimate weight added by fibre glass and epoxy.
Flying depends on wing loading more than on power loading. Even gliders can fly!

If the wing loading is low, it can fly on very little power, say on thrust as low as 0.3-0.5 of the weight.
Remember it is not a helicopter that depends on thrust. It is an airplane that flies on its wings.

The speed reqd to fly safely depends on the stall speed, which depends on the wing loading.
Need to estimate the minimum speed reqd for safe takeoff and cruise (approx 2-2.5 times stall speed)

The issue is not whether your motors can lift the weight. Not looking for vertical takeoff.
The issue is what speed the wings need to lift the plane safely, and whether your motors can provide the necessary speed.

Title: Re: [BUILD] Boeing C-17 Globemaster III
Post by: yash10896 on July 25, 2014, 09:31:26 PM
the data is as follows:
Wing Area: 412 sq.in
Wing Loading:19.55 oz/sq.ft
Wing Cube Loading:11.6

i have less knowledge in this field some more elaboration would be helpful...

P.S my weighing machine (SF-400) died few weeks back don't know why so right now i have no means to calculate weight last time i calculated it was approx 560g of frame+retracts ordered today a new one till then i can only assume...

You may need 60-80kmph to lift off!

You also have to put straps around the mid point of each wing...
Hang it withthose straps...
Then put straps around the fuselage ahead of the LE and behind TE...
Then hang weights from them...
Equal to the AUW times 2,3,4,5...
To see how many Gs the wing and its spar can support, before breaking!
(This is what Shobhit17 sir was warning you about)

An airplane designer's life ain't easy, eh?

@yash10896
Those straps are just to check if your wings can take it.

I think your 2 EDFs will provide enough power. But your 4s may add too much weight.

Just take care of a few things:
1. Can the wings support 2-3 times the AUW?
2. Is the wing loading too high?
3. Is the CG right?

Do taxi tests first, gradually increase speed till you get lift off, then cut power.
After 3-4 attempts, you'll know the speed required to take off safely.
Expect to see video of success onSunday night!

Thank you sir for that advice i will test it...
sorry i was little emotional on that reply cause i promised mummy that i will make this thing and it will fly she always supports me in this field as it is an expensive hobby and spending 10-15k on a single project in hole in pocket but they never opposed me on spending so much money they just want me to learn something that is different than others so i am very much passionate about this project i have been doing research from like aug'13 and going through around 50 build threads of airliners line by line gave me a lot of knowledge and different ways to get things done...
i have exchanged several pm's with sanjay sir, nithin sir and others too to assure that what i am choosing is tested...
It may happen that it could get crashed on maiden but it doesn't matter as far u have made something that is unusual and people are appreciating it so lets leave it to almighty about being it airworthy :)

Don't rush it.
Do it step by step.
Do the taxi tests first. Then you'll be safe.
Care:
Do not let anyone pressurise you.
Taxi as much as reqd. But take off only when you feel ready.

I am on rcg but don't see all threads.
Also i don't see regularly.

I get my batteries from Adiboy whenever he drops in. So no problem.
I've told him to come to my house whenever he has time, and bring whatever he has.

@KK Iyer sir i was thinking about reinforcing the wing with cf rod under the wing section so that its all rigid.....
attaching an image of how i was thinking it to be placed.....
i have also conveyed this problem to chris sir(demondriver) and he told me for 4.1lbs(1900g) AUW and 55inches(1390mm) wingspan its all good and recently i have measured it to be 1400g without battery and battery is 500g so i thinking it should fly fine and adding a reforcement could make it more rigid...

Have you checked whether two edfs give enough thrust or not?

keeping two dummies reminds me of

Title: Re: [BUILD] Boeing C-17 Globemaster III
Post by: yash10896 on July 31, 2014, 07:50:02 PM
@topalle yeah i have checked it before i bought the EDFs its the basic thing for beginning of a project you need to do some math calculations for a working model....

for these model thrust to weight ratio should be 1:1 or 3:4 and each edf will give 0.9-1.1 kg thrust so easily i can achieve 1:1 ratio...

Title: Re: [BUILD] Boeing C-17 Globemaster III
Post by: topalle on July 31, 2014, 07:54:23 PM
In the link I gave above, the builder had made an underpowered model so it didn't fly ver well...

@wingmanbunty sir i think the edf which i chose should be sufficient if not i will order new one for better performance but now also i believe it can provide enough thrust to make a scale flying possible...

also being a high wing plane it creates more lift and more stable to winds...

@yash10896
Sorry for delay in response. Been busy at work 12 hrs a day, and Gusty Sir was here yesterday!

I fear that an exposed spar like that would be just like a spoiler for reducing the wing lift.
Much better if you can sink it into the wing surface.

Why the sudden need for a spar?
Were you not going to glass the wing?
If you really need wing strengthening, why not a flat strip of carbon fibre on top and bottom, which will hardly protrude above the surface?
If you don't have CF strip, even FG tape may suffice.

Have you tried to check whether the wing is strong enough (in bending) to support at least 2-3 times the all up weight?

More importantly, it seems to me that on this forum,
there is too much emphasis on the thrust required, and hardly any on the wing loading.
The full size c-17 has a power loading of only 0.4!

Based on the type of model, and the performance expectation, we need to decide if it is going to fly on the wing or on the power.

You would have realised that i belong to the flying on wing school (old school?)
And that i do like models that have a power loading of zero  ;D

See, the power required depends on
The drag and the desired cruise speed.
Which depends on the stall speed.
Which depends on the wing loading!

Which is why whenever i get a query on the forum, the first thing i ask is what is the AUW, what is the wing area, and so what is the wing loading.

(Sometimes i ask what is the cubic loading, but that is another story...)

Am trying to locate the video of a large thermocole jet that took off in less than two fuselage lengths.
Not vertically on power, but horizontally on the wing. Will post when found.

BTW, if Butchery Ground is too small, you need to build a different model. Or go to Bakshi! (We used to go there too, you know!)

@KK Iyer sir thank you for that reply and i too was against the round cf tube it was just for explanation which i borrowed from bixler wing spar...
i am ordering flat cf rod from RCD and other bunch of stuff..
i am also gonna fiberglass the fuse as well as wing and will be doing that after 14th aug as i will be having 3 consecutive holidays from coaching..
i dont think wings can handle 2-3 times of AUW as its too risky for time being i will test it after fiberglassing and flat cf installation...
and sir i dont think the ground in which i will be testing is small...
my brother-in-law has a different field i think which is not allowed to public he will help me through it or otherwise i will go as u suggest near bakshi ka talab their i also have a farm house near which it has lots of open space so i am not worried about that....
any other thing you think i should add for better flying is always welcome...

one question does it require two layer of 18gm/sq.in fiberglassing or one layer will do.. same applies for fuselage
please try to answer it as i am very new to this thing....

@yash10896
18gms/sqin?
Must be 18gms/sqm!
My RCTLG balsa wing has only one layer. It is strong enough for high speed catapult launch even without any spar or dihedral braces. Also strong enough to survive hitting an electric pole without even a dent.

Weight addition for about 400sqin was 28gms.
I covered it in 8 separate pieces of 12"x4" each. Larger size may be harder to do.
Initially i needed 5gms of epoxy/hardener mix for each piece, but as i gained experience, i was able to reduce it to 3-4gms.
You will need plastic/thermocole cups and a digital scale to accurately measure such small quantities.

(You still have not told me the expected wing loading  ;))

I suggest you test the flexibility of the wing after the first layer of fibreglass is cured. If not stiff enough, you can add a second layer to the center one third of the span.

Best of luck. BE CAREFUL ABOUT POISONOUS FUMES.

sir wing loading will be approx 20 oz/sq.ft....
it is little greater then what i thought that it should be like 13-17 oz/sq.ft...
i also think winglets should also play a major role in providing lift as they remove the tip vortex which provide drag so sir i think it should be okay
i know it is little close to sports plane wing loading but nothing can be done now....

So first of all Happy Independence day to all Indians on the forum :)

I finally got time to do the CF reinforcement on the bottom of the wing...
i got Cf flat rod from RCD and they was small in width then suspected :P
so used two of these flat rod and glued in ARC shape so that it can be more rigid also it was done in vertical postion as in vertical position it cannot bend horizontally making nearly impossible for the wings to bend due to force...
used gorilla glue as i ran out of araldite and today all shops are closed...
And the ARC shape idea arrived to me by viewing a video of flying wing on flitetest where they used gf rod for the same reinforment :)

Next is fiberglassing which is now extended for another week  :-\

Ashok baijal, co-winner of sweepstakes is another old Lakhnavi (>50 years),
now turned Bangaloori (1-2 years)

In 1983 or 84, i remember flying a demo for the CM On 26 Jan or 15 Aug at Butchery. NCC Air Wing gave me blue overalls (that i still have) to pretend i was part of their team.

The then NCC Air Wing boss was one Wing Commander Kondal, whose house was next to Baijal's and about 50 ft from mine in A Block, Indira Nagar.

Small world, isn't it?

now only i need to do some work on fuse's mid section and then its ready for fiberglassing :)

@yash10896
Hard to say, but my experience is that even a single layer adds tremendous strength to foam, especially if the thickness of the wing is more than say 1/2-3/4".
Did you finally install a CF spar? If so, one layer should be enough.
Caution: do not test the wing by bending it till the resin is fully dried!
Use a plastic card to spread. Target is 10gms or less per sqft.
Beast of Luck!
Best
Oops.

I wonder how did I miss this thread. Interesting read and lots happened before I have joined the bus.

Commendable. Good progress and great effort Yash.

I hope you are using a sanding blocks for sanding the foam. Good practice is to use two to three flat blocks with sand paper of various grit from coarse to fine. So that you can sand them in that order and get smooth finish then evenly.

All the best for the maiden.  ;)  ;D Where is gusty when the test pilot is required.   :giggle:

Title: Re: [BUILD] Boeing C-17 Globemaster III
Post by: yash10896 on September 09, 2014, 01:28:48 PM
Thank you Sandaram sir for the encouraging words.. :)

yes sir i have like 5 sanding blocks of 60,120,150,220 and 320 grit... made by sandwiching three 10mm depron rectangle pieces and stuck by hot glue...

and regarding maiden sir i seriously need a pro test pilot like gusty sir :D
i am very tense regarding maiden as 5 months worth hard work could be in pieces in just 5 minutes  :-\
lets hope it behaves like a trainer being a high wingers that was the only point for which i chose c-17 as all other airliners are mostly low wingers..

Will search for a experienced pilot for this bird in lucknow and i can always use our lucknawi nawabs like Iyer sir and Shobit sir for maiden :D (i am pretty serious Iyer sir :P )

yash :hatsoff:

How come I didn't stumble upon this thread earlier,
This is a very nicely executed project.
I too have the barebone made and kept for a rainy day in my attic.( I made a small prototype and posted a thread earlier)
For the exterior, there are thin sheets of rubberised foam, 1mm, 2mm and so on in thickness available here, super light, tough and flexible like a paper. If you could source those out, your external fuselage would look much more appealing and beautiful.
Keep up the good work!! I know the feeling of flying something as big as the flier!!

Hey Everyone,

Sorry that I have been away from this forum for the past 3 years and recently I came to realize that all the pictures of build are hidden.
So, I am attaching a drive link for all the previous build pictures if anybody was trying to look for them.

https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1f-HXAkEzLzqo6MNAvxaBT1sE1n3rjIFN?usp=sharing (https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1f-HXAkEzLzqo6MNAvxaBT1sE1n3rjIFN?usp=sharing)

I couldn't find time to work on new aeromodelling projects in my B.Tech period and now I am in Sweden for my aerospace masters. I hope to try new scratch builds after some months and would be very eager to share them with everyone here. Because of this forum, I always had urge to do something new and challenging and I wanna thank every senior member who inspired me to get into this field.

Stay tuned, My hands may be rusted but I ain't dusted.  :hatsoff:
