Hello,
If you are confident of your flying skills then you can go for:
http://www.rcbazaar.com/category/172-build-it-yourself-rc-models.aspx (http://www.rcbazaar.com/category/172-build-it-yourself-rc-models.aspx)
Otherwise try repairing your model or build another one for yourself.

Hi Kiran

My suggestion is to scratch build one out of foam. Depron or similar can be used. Much easier to repair and quite inexpensive if you have the time.

Cheers
Kodava

as the electronics are used and in good condition.....

I would suggest to scratch build a model.... ;D

Scratch building is more fun than ARF or RTF...:P

@kiran rc
Try building something like this.
24" span, 6" chord, 5mm biofoam, Donkey combo motor+10a ESC, 2s 1300mah lipo, 280gms.
3mm CF tube spars, dihedral braces 3" of cycle spoke. Two channel, rudder & elevator.
Wing halves held together with cellotape. Hinges are tape.

Inexpensive. Slow flyer. Hand launch and catch while landing. Even rcpilotacro was surprised.

@Kkiyer sir thats the whole point he doesnt want to change the elecs but use the same. If he can change the elecs he can surely go for your one.

Just a sample of what he can build, using his existing electronics.

KK Iyer Sir, can you show the profile of this foamie -- the top wing mount looks interesting, can I have some details on it,

I have a 2812 motor and 2200 mah Lipo, would they be suitable for something like this?

Title: Re: Plane replacement
Post by: K K Iyer on February 15, 2014, 12:52:09 PM
@mks
Profile pic attached.
Tailplane and thrust line zero zero.
Wing incidence 5mm in 150mm, or 1 in 30, or about +2 degrees.
Both wings same incidence, (though top wing should preferable have slightly more so that it stalls before the bottom wing...)
Top wing staggered 1" ahead of bottom wing.
Each wing 24"x6".
Top wing LE to motor mount 4". Top wing TE to tailplane LE 10".
Tailplane 12"x4" incl 1"elevator. Fin approx 4"x4".
3mm CF tube spars. Dihedral braces 3" pieces of cycle spoke.
Weights: 2s 1300mah 70g, motor+esc+prop 50g, Rx+2 servos+wheels, pushrods etc 35g.
Bare airframe 125g. AUW 280g. Wing loading <5oz/sqft.
Needs only 3amps or 25watts.
2812 motor too much, 2200 lipo too heavy (180g?)
Trust you find this useful.
Regards

Thanks for the specs..

yes it seems my 2812 motor and 2200 lipo would be heavy for this ..

but still might pickup the design to come-out with something slightly bigger..
Thanks a lot :)

@mks
Try 1.5 times linear size.
Area will be 2.25 times.
Could support 6-700gms.
Use 8mm biofoam.
Let me know if you do.
Regards.

Dear Iyer Sir,

I have 1" high density thermocol sheet, I think I would suit for such build.. I am planning to fevicol two layers for fuselage (don't have any idea of sourcing bio-foam here in Delhi)
wing spar has to be added for strengthening 1" thermocol ?!? have my doubts but certainly would apply 2" clear tape on wing bottom for support..
another thing.. even after sanding thermocol the surface does not become smooth enough.. will google some ways to putty and paint on thermocol..
:)
will try..
thanks a lot Sir,

@mks
Make a hot wire foam cutter like this.
I use my car battery for power.

Many flyers in Delhi. Locate on this forum and contact for biofoam source.
