Superb Johny! You are personifying the adage -When there is a will, there is a way.

Any video of the maiden? How did she fly?

@madaquif

its my bad .. :banghead: couldn't captured any videos.. it was too windy and the prop saver rubber bands were too weak to hold the rpm which came along with the motor. i was not carrying any extra bands too.. next time for sure i will take the videos.  :thumbsup:

A real good job johnny,

after Sunday maiden i went home and made a foam cutter and made a complete plane in just 2 hours, will start covering her in the week and hopefully she will be ready by this Sunday, pics and videos soon.
For johnny's plane:
its too tail heavy and it rolled back in the first try, and the propsaver, prop, motor combo doesnt fit either way, either it should be a prop with smaller hub or a motor with big screws for mounting, everytime the propsaver came off and spoiled the day,
however the next flight should be good with a little changes... once again johnny is a man of skills ...

@v2eagle

for the tail heavy, i am thinking of extending the nose about 6" and put the battery, receiver and esc inside it..

anyway it can't be ready this month.. i will back to Chennai on mar 31st.. i will make it ready in first weekend of April.. we will meet then.

planning to make one more at home a pusher type with same electronics.. any plan ?? :help:

i completed mine. will post some pics, this is exactly balanced(Self appraisal!!!!)
probably you can get an idea of it.
For tail heavy, upgrade your motor to something of better thrust and battery to 1500mah 3s, it will automatically add the nose weight.

will fix this one without upgrading the electronics...  :thumbsup:

No please, by fixing this you will still have the issue with propsaver, and too much of dead weight will reduce the flight time,
lets put my battery and motor and try it, if it works fine, then you can buy one..
