Hello all fellow members,

Here is my scratch built project of 118" wingspan Bird of Time during this locked down time.It is almost complete with the build part. Now awaiting for the covering.

I was having some contest grade balsa from National Balsa from USA. Expecting to complete the model with 1400 grams after all installation.

In actual plan, it is designed for tow but i am going to installed a motor to power it.(Inspired from Great Plane model).

I notice you are using those plastic "snakes" for pushrods

Just out of interest, as the inner is also (soft) plastic, how would you be fastening to horn and servo?

Hi Krunal,
Lovely choice of model and great workmanship as usual.
Full flying stab, isn’t it?

This model really deserves a tissue over doculam covering

See page 16 of George Stringwell’s article here:
http://soomodellers.ca/images/pdf/st-159.pdf

If Post Office is accepting non-essentials, I can send you by SpeedPost about 10m of 12.5” wide 27 micron, and/or of 9” wide much thicker one.

Do post details of motor, mounting (nose or pylon), folding (?) prop, pull/pull (?) cables etc.

Regards

Amazing scratch build Kunal . Great to see people putting build threads. I gave up long back as it did not generate enough audience
I almost started CAD'ing the BOT plan for Laser Cutting back in 2015 ... but then I am almost out of the hobby for 4+ years due to lack of flying field and old flying pals moving out of hobby/city too.

What Trim scheme are you planning to put ? I hope you will go with Transparent/Translucent Oro covers !

Best of luck and keep posting ...
