I have not done much headway on the above plan but I have started on a different plan of SU-26 which is a modified one with aerofoil wing with semi profile and semi fuse model of SU-26. The wing, tail plane and rudder is ready. The fuse has to be assembled and control surfaces hinged.

The foam is  10mm sheets from EPP india.  Cut and glued with dentrite and flexquick CA normal with spar and reinforcement in place  and sanded.

Electronics I have not thought about it yet for the moment. Post details as it goes.

The fuse is finally ready. Wing is hinged and ready. Now only they have to be put together with electronics.

I was planning for a 2217/8 Dys brushless 1100 KV with 11/5 prop 40 Amps ESC. For the power system.

Expected AUW is 750 gms.

Thanks

The fuse is reinforced with glass fiber rods on a groove with CA from both sides. Its pretty stiff now, almost like a block of wood.

Dear Roopesh the photos are specially for you  ;D

Finally it is ready for flight.

The Lipo is just ahead of CG. The CG is at 40% Chord  With 2217. May be good for 3D hover but have a feeling will pitch up even through the thrust line is 2 degrees down and 2 degrees to right. If found under powered was planning to switch to 3530 1400 KV. Then CG will be at 30% chord if Lipo location is not changed.

Gusty and myself tried a hand each on the model  this wednesday. Flew well for the first time.

Did not record flight video since light condition was not good and would not have done justice to the colour scheme.

Still some tweeking needs to done with DR and Expo to arrive at a perfect setting. Gusty was confident it will do a decent 3D.

I feel since Aileron response was good so it was OK toned down but the response of rudder and elevator was not so good so it needs to be toned up a bit. Gusty I would like to know your take on that before I do anything.

Need to do a chequered pattern under wing for better orientation.

The servo arms needs to be bigger, Throw setting will requires 5-7 flights to arrive at perfect throw and expo for different manoevres, Aileron throw needs to hit 65 deg for a decent rolling harrier, Since the span is big roll rate will be less especially in a right rolling harrier. can the rudder become bigger ?

Rudder and Elevator can surely be made bigger in the present configuration without disturbing the present hinges. I will try the lengthening of servo arms like how you have done in your yak and Addiction
