BUMP is a micro plane plan. So  expanded it 50% to use standard inexpensive gear. attached is the BUMP medium plan.
I strongly recommend beginers to try and make such light weight planes. It will save you lot of cost. Can fly with very very less power.

I had made this few months back. Forgot to post it.

This is a very very simple plane for beginers.
AUW is only 120 Gms.
Standard gear: 16gms motor, 6x5 prop, 6 Amps ESC, 5 grams servoX2, GWS 4p rcvr, 250maH 2cell.
Can make it in one evening, 3- 4 hours.
Flies almost at  normal walking speed. can fly in very small place.
cost:
Body: scaratch built
Motor: 450.00
Esc: 500.00
RCVR:800.00
Sevos 2 nos: 400.00
Battery:100.00: look at the battery cost. Itcan fly 10 min easily with this battery. Normal flying takes only 1 to 1.5 amps.

How was the wing connected in the middle with that angle ?

just keep two books to give about 2 inches Dihedral and use hot melt. Fill the gap with Depron pieces dipped in Hot glue

Could you also pls. post the sources for the parts and the material used. Doesn't look like coro. Amazing though

For a AUW of 120 gms metal rods are a no-no.

Not required. See the carbon full length at the leading edge and one flat carbon rod in the middle. (pl See the video). The trick is to conform to the requirement.. nothing more nothing less....

all body and wings 3mm depron with Colour tape covering. 3mm depron from Bangalore

While these do reinforce the wings, aren't you worried about the wings folding in flight ?  (as these rods do not run through the entire length of the wing in one piece, like in a wing with no dihedral).

No extra reinforcement required. Pl see the video carefully. These rods (one on the leading edge, and one right at the CG) do run through, through in one piece. Anwar the carbon rods have little flexibility. and make i have used it bit cleverly to exactly overcome your worry. In electrics, every added weight burns more calories and increase the speed of the plane. i have flown it up to about 15KMH winds. The wings are quite strong. Also see the support it gets at the body with rubber bands.

The advantage is that it weighs only  120 Grams and needs only 15- 20 watts power to maintain level flight. Thats why i can use a 14 grams battery.

I didn't realize they ran through the whole length of the wing in one piece.  That should take care of it.  But I do feel that without those, my concern was valid, as just hot glue in the middle was a risky proposition.

absolutely anwar  , in fact i added these carbon after the wing collapsed on a wndy day flight.

Thank you for confirming my suspicion    I really was wondering how just hot glue connecting the two sides of 3mm depron could handle those forces.

Another relaxed flying with Bump. Took off easily from the top of the car. Missed landing by few inches. No damage done, thanks to 120 grams.. Just pick and fly again

Its a great plane 4 a beginner like me.the component cost as listed is also low.
Just wanted to know more about the battery used .and did u use a separate bec.
Could u also please specify exactly which motor u used n the rx.

I am a newbie to R/C (without equipment) and have following set of queries:

1. What kind / company make of hot glue was used to fuse the two depron wing pieces to the fuselage?
2. Did it actually melt the depron wing pieces and fused them as one?
3. How was the glue heated? Was it done by pouring it in some vessel and then heating the vessel over kitchen stove?

             hot glue is not like the fivicole or fevi quick it is actually a soft plastic which comes in the form of sticks and is applied with a hot glue gun which retails at all the hardware shops for about rs 250-350 and rs 10 for the glue sticks.

sorry for the late reply.
As i was fascinated with the motors i tried some experiments abouit 2- 3 years back. Those times a brushless motor was costing  40 -50 USD and a brush less ESC was costing USD70.00.
so all these experiments were worth. But now when we can get a brushless motor for <USD10.00 and also a controller for USD 12.00 all these are not worth.
