This is a 10300 kv inrunner, much more than your preceived requirement, will it be enough for a 92 mm :banghead: certainly not , what you require is that which will match your EDF and battery and the aeroplane on which you are planning to use, so you need to provide these infor for any help to forthcome, All the best

this the motor (inrunner 3200kv) i have at present and was hoping to build a EDF jet using it but the motor weighs abt 160 gms which makes me wonder if its good enough ... was tld wit a  14.8v battery gives apox 47000 rpm at no load and thrust of 2.5kg...

kevin
since you say you are a beginner you shouldn't begin with an edf, after seeing the pic above, is it for a boat ? if yes VC, Roopesh are the guys here in the forum you should pm, all the best if into aeroplanes here is the thread (http://www.rcindia.org/beginners-zone/from-a-un-initiated-to-rc-pilot-in-30-days/), hope this is helpful, also i urge you use the search function get some answers after searching, most of your questions are already answered, if you care to use the search functions, still any pertinent questions that  lurks feel free to shoot

If the diameter of the can is 36mm and wattage capacity is also more than say 800 watts atleast then may be you can consider for an 90 mm EDF on not more than a 4S (4 cell Lipo) setup.

On the physical appearance of the motor and connectors it seems suitable for 90mm though on a setup not more than 4S.

The right question you need to check yourself the answers for are

Whats the CAN diameter maximum your EDF supports?

Whats the shaft dia meter and what dia shaft adapter is provided with your EDF?

Whats the maximum wattage your motor supports?

Usually 90mm EDF motors are in the range less than 2000 KV to support the required wattage  on 5S and more Lipo setup.

Whats the CAN diameter maximum your EDF supports?

That which supports your EDF. Some Cans wont house your motor, some batt wont support your motor, some aeroplane wont support the thrust

what you require is that which will match your EDF and battery and the aeroplane

So which is the plan what is the batt and which EDF is the question, aim is not to confuse you or deter you from the hobby, just that you should start on the right foot as far as EDF is concerned, not waste money on some wrong setup

PS
Frankly after flying so much i somehow dont enjoy EDF as much as i do 3D, fun is in 3D
