@v2eagle
The rickshaw spokes used by me are 3mm thick and look fairly rigid to me. What is the dia of the spokes used by you?

I expect the net weight of the Cessna to be around 600-650 gms with the motor, ESC and battery contributing 303gms. I will be cautious based on you're experience.

@Sanjayrai55
Yes. Both are nearly similar.

The same rickshaw spokes of 3mm dia.
mine were not that shinier though.
mine weighs around 600gms with a 2200mah and around 450gms with a 1000mah. this forced me to use a 1000mah with just 4mins of flying time.
else the landing gear bends on every landing.

P.S My wheels are not very smooth though!!!!

I was not happy with the all biofoam wing which I was building. So finally decided to throw it into the dustbin and build a traditional balsa wing.

The two pieces were joined to the mid section and a 10 degree dihedral was made while joining the wings to the central piece

Wing mounting bolts and alignment dowels attached. Tail feathers attached. Working on making the control rod path for the rudder. Had ordered soft control rods from RCDhamaka but was trully disappointed with them especially how they ruined them by rolling and tying them in knots just to squeeze them in small packets.

The wing was covered and I made a tray for the battery and installed the motor and ESC Now waiting for the servos to arrive from RCBazaar. Though the courrier's website says the package was delivered on 7-5-14. After repeated calls he says it has been delivered to a wrong address and he would try to recover it.  I have still to see it. It is like ordering from HK and you keep wondering if and when it would reach you. Local deliveries are no exception. i will wait till tomorrow aftetnoon else I wil install regular futaba servos which are lying with me.

I have now a strong feeling that all my packets will get delivered only after the sweepstakes are over. 3 orders and 3 packages still in cyberspace!!!!! Bang Head I think Anwar should consider "Acts Of God"  Grin Grin before disqualifying an entry.  Huh?

Thanks guys for your comments.

When we were young there were no ARFs and getting a kit was a rare event. So we really spent our time in making the modes with loving care. No electrics, no glow engines. It was the age of gliders and rubber powered models were accuracy was paramount. Nowadays it is coro, foam, ARFs, laser cut kits, three axis stabilisation, 2.4ghz, telemetry, fpv, .....

But now after retirement when you live alone spending time in company with your models is what all you have left. So all our love goes in crafting them.

Maiden done today. Video available at

https://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_detailpage&v=GDk5zuz5H4A.

Plan to change the prop from 9*4.7 to an 8 inch and reduce the throws. Also plan to add ailerons as I am more comfortable with them rather than only rudder control. These modifications will come at leisure.

Ailerons affirmative. Rudder throw needs tuning down a notch.

Had planned to add ailerons. So uncovered the wing and shortned the outer ribs to accomodate ailerons. Added two pieces of balsa to the shortned ribs to support the ailerons. Prepared two ailerons out of biofoam which has been stiffened with a layer of fibreglass cloth and laminated. After drying out, shaped the ailerons to the wing pofile.
