Hi, while trying to fix up my High Winger, I Decided to take a breather, so i designed a Convertible Trainer(I.E.: wings can be positioned both High and Low Wing)  based on traditional design rules, rather than going fancy-shmancy like the previous effort
this will be fully notched and tabbed.

The Specs are:

Fuse Length: 1100 mm
Wingspan: 1320 mm
Chord: 229 mm

all the scratch builders : Pls help me decide on what rib design to use. Hats Off Hats Off

1. Using laser cut plywood as spars (2nos) and a similar leading edge piece.(I really hope this design works)

2. The Traditional Method

@yashodhanp,
Refer your PM. I have purposely refrained from commenting on your rib and spar choices.
As the crux of the matter lies elsewhere.

It looks to me as if you are trying to meet three different objectives:
1. Designing a model
2. Experimenting with construction methods
3. Experimenting with different materials

I would suggest, that for greater chances of success, you try only one of these at a time. Not all three at the same time.

Basic design parameters and construction methods are well established for over 50 years. It is the new materials like depron, CF tubes, coro that need experimenting with.

I am shortly sending you:
1. Basic design parameters, documented over 40 years ago! (Thanks to Mr Romy Bukolt)
2. Samples of traditional construction techniques for balsa. (Plans from Outerzone.uk)

If you want to experiment with coro, look at the build logs of sanjayrai55.

Finally, two golden rules:
1. Add lightness
2. Add simplicity
