the pink wing is from my earlier build that crashed on first maiden, i was thinking it will barely fly so threw it with full throttle Smiley
it went so high in 2 seconds or so that i got baffled, couldnt control the plane and it came down a direct nose hit from i guess some three stories high. however
only propeller got shredded and all the other components were safe Smiley because it struck the tree first and then sand.

it was much less mayday then maiden flight. plane was too heavy AUW: 530 gms, motor was not able to keep it in the air for long and crashed hard on the ground, motor also got trashed and prop also. now i know for sure, i have to use depron only, coro planes are too heavy.

HYDRO PLANER.....

Cod you are wrong.. coro planes flies nicely.. and not heavy.. and please consider a simple formula at least, for a successful flight.. make a good big plane with a wing span of 48 inch at least.. and keep the proportion as 5:3:1:1/2.. and use a good powerful motor, in to 1000 kv, with a wattage of 240 onwards.. with a slow flyer prop in to 9X6.. will fly.. excitingly.. as expert told, keep nose heavy a little.. check cg point balance.. no mess no desperations.. only excitements..
see cool video of the flight of my coro plane.. the VEERANGANA 2.. or V2..

HYDRO PLANER.....

so dont worry.. coro is the most trusted easy material to make good flying planes oc RC.. make it and enjoy it.. please make a good big plane with a good wing span.. so, will be stable all the while.. and will be exciting to fly.. so, make it.. fly it.. recharge it... fly it.. again.. again.. again.. Thumbs Up Hats Off
here is another plane of mine.. is 100% coro..

i am thanking to ever veteran aero modeller of Kerala.. my Colleague Mr Vinod madhavan.. for this cool video shoot..

Banaji plane is tail heavy as said by mr.madhvan. the reason it didn't flew. correct the cg it will definitely fly. Can see windy out there.
Coro may be slightly heavy than depron(i did not weigh both) but much much stronger than depron. it will forgive all the mistakes by Beginners and can take all those crashes.
Follow the points said by Roopeshji and you will end with a beauty in ur hanger.
Good luck for the next one. Thumbs Up

This is the current version of that slow stick, now instead of aluminum fuse i am using coro square tube, that's much better, plane glides even in a small area.

wingspan: 36", chord: 9", dihedral: 6-10 degrees
slowstick style airfoil
elevator: 11 " long, 8" wide with 4" control surface
rudder: 6" long, 8" wide with 4" control surface
fuse: 25"

electronics should be:

a normal power slow flyer prop configuration should work fine. may be

emax cf 2822, 30 Amp esc, 3S - 1000 mah battery 15C - 25C, 9" slow flyer prop
