Title: Double Bonus week end : M4X Scratch build + MPX Easy glider Pro Maiden Post by: rcforall on October 26, 2009, 06:37:56 AM This week end was toooooooooo much of RC ( can it ever be too much ) 8-)
1) M4X ( MOSS x 4 ) Scratch build : 2.5 meter SPAD Glider : Maiden on Saturday and flew 8 sorties over the week end including 3 at the RCA airfield yesterday . Wing Span : 2.5 m ( coro ) Fuse : 6 ft ( aluminium tube ) with 3 deg inclined angel of incidence Power system : 2 x RCFORALL DY 2217/8 motors ESC : 2 x 30 amp Servo : ELE & Rudder : RCFORALL DY 0210 , Aileron : 2 x RCFORALL DY 0219 15 gms MG Battery : 2 x 11.1V RCFORALL 4200 mah 1 for each motor Props : Pair of 1060 ( rotating counter rotating ) GWS Props AUW : 3.100 KGS The flights was excellent and very very consistent in its attitudes , the stability is amazing .Flying time exceeds 40 mins on a single charge I have some photos but no good video. 2) Multiplex easy Glider Pro : Another great maiden at RCA Air field yesterday : Motor : RCFORALL DY 2836/1500 KV ESC : 30 amp Battery : RCFORALL DY 11.1V 2650 mah Prop : 10 x 5 Servo : 2 x RCFORALL DY 0207 and 2 x RCFORALL DY0206 Stupendous climb rate at an angle of around 70 deg a few seconds is all it takes to reach around 200 - 250 feet altitude . Glide is amazing as well. Have neither Photos nor Video of this , hope to shoot it next week end , but I think Chan , Ajo etc could add their comments on these as well. I had a sortie with the Easy Glider as well!! Flew beautifully!! Climb rates were amazing and the power was crazy!! I saw the M4X floating around the sky like a giant albatross!! The landings were a beauty to watch!! - Chan |
