prop:

motor (will give thrust of 500 gm. if used with 6x4.  suited only for small 100-500gm parkflyers)

The space in the centre is only 6 inch so bigger propeller will not fit

Is 1200 kv motor not small for plane because after including electronics this becomes about 500gms

Ask that from somebody experienced. I donno

I think you need to widen the space in the centre
Cause 1200 kv motor with 6 inch props... lot of thrust waste
Bigger props give more thrust (depends on the quality and type of the motor)
Look out for a suitable prop for that motor

If i increase the motor power to 1800kv and use prop of 6x4 is it works..??

I don't think a 1800 kv motor will give enough thrust to lift 500 gms with 6 inch prop. I believe you have to increase the size of your prop.

Hi,
If you have no prior RC flying experience, this may not be a suitable model to start with. Better to start with a Skysurfer or similar (RC Bazaar).
Pl see your PM. have sent more info.

@suyash,
Last month Col Sundaram's son built and flew a model similar to yours.
Send him a pm (param on this forum).
His build log is here:

Hope this helps!

Is this because of weight or motor power..?

You need a high KV one with lot of speed than thrust.
CF 2522 will give max thrust at 10 inch prop.
https://www.rcsportz.com/index.php?route=product/product&path=70_80&product_id=98

this one is lighter and gives around 400gms of thrust plus 3 blade 5inch prop will give you good speed on a 3S lipo maybe less than 1000mah.

hy,suyash i think that is an rc powers f-18 v3 ?i also made one for this year sweepstakes i used 2300kv emax 2826 motor with 6×4apc and 30amp esc with 2200mah li po 3s

Yeah i m trying to make f18 v3 but i have 1800 kv motor.

@suyash,
Did you read the post about how much power?
If your motor is lower kv, all you have to do is use a higher pitch, like 6x6 or 7x6.
Please post the ID of your motor, to suggest prop size.

I have 1500 mah 20c lipo
30 a esc
6x4 prop
1800 kv outrunner brushless motor

i think that you should give it a try then, coz you have reduced 60g on battery also and some on motor .launch it at 100perc throttle it will work fine.

You said your motor is 1800kv.
There is no 1800 kv motor in the specs sheet!

Also, you did not say whether your battery is 2 cell or 3 cell.
Without such basic data, i fear the advice you are getting is just guesswork.

Best thing is to just try whatever you have.
Best of luck.

ya that is a guess work lyer sir ;D but i have also seen some videos on youtube people using 1800 kv motor and 1600mah battery on some rc powers jets so i recomended him about that, battery i assumed that it to be a 3s.

Hey I've built 2 of the rcp jets, and no matter how light you make it, an 1800 with a 6x4 is gonna be underpowered... My f35 couldn't climb at full throttle with that much.. Best is to get a 2200 kv with a 40a esc, gives enough power for some moderate flying and later you should switch to the NTM 2700 kv....
Also when rc powers say "beginners Park flyer" they assume you have some knowledge about rc flying in general and have got stick time on a slower more forgiving aircraft....
That's just my 2 cents worth
