Hi,
I'm in the process of building a foamy from 3mm EPS sheet. The wing span is about 700mm and i expect that the model should be max around 300gms minus any electronics. Plan to use 3 gm servos for this.

Any idea what motor, esc and battery would be a good choice? I have a BL 2204, 7.4v 2S 850 mAH lipo.

Also, any lightweight RXs that may be suitable?

The weight of the models without the set up touching 300 gms for a foamy seems an over estimation TG.
I would put it at closer to 200 gms.

Yes AUW 300 gms should be OK with a 2204 set up .
My fox and the Bigger Mr MOSS fly 2204 with AUW around 250 - 300 gms.

As for receiver I use a 4.3 gms Assan Rx on the Fox  Grin

You can lighten any receiver for that matter by taking off the cover and using the circuit
