Vivek Sharma, true to his family traditions has brought another exceptional model. The VEE-ONE.

It's not an ARF, it has laser cut parts, build is fairly simple, it took me 7 hrs in total to put it together ( I am slightly slow and finnicky, for someone it could even be faster)

  Specs
Wing span      1 mtr
Wing Chord     20 cms
Length            82 cms
Weight           970 gms

Electronics Used

Motor                 2212 1500 KV 10x4.3 prop
Esc                    Red Brick 35 amps
Servo (Aile)        Blue Bird 375 Digital Metal Gear Low Profile(25mmx25mmx11mm) x 2
Servo (Ele, Rud)  HXT 9 grams x 2
Radio                 Sanwa SD10G with 6 channel FHSS rx
Bat                    1500 mah Tattu 45C

Setup

Throws

Aileron 13mm up 11mm down (to compensate for Adverse aileron drag)

Elev   10mm up & down

Rudder 15 mm left & right (measured at the centre of the rudder)

DR & Expo

One DR (ELE, AIL, RUD) 50%, 100%, 80% Nil Expo

Build

Tools used

3M super 77 - I used it to stick the stock cover (cold spread) stock cover is not iron on, it needs glue
Aileron needs to be fixed before, two holes to take out the aileron needs to be made, take care these holes DO NOT exceed fuse width (i.e. 2 cms at the wing trailing edge)

Nose needed to be sawed off as shown (see image)

Maiden

Take off, hardly any trim, locked in flying, within couple of seconds i got to business as usual, did the following Smiley

Level flight  9/9

Inverted 8/9

KE
5/9 (max KE angle is about 70 deg bank)

Loop  7/9  (Needs a little coaxing over the top)

Stall Turn  8/9  (Does it very well)

Rolls 5/9 (You can't expect good rolls from a high winger)

PS

It is designed for  dihedral, i killed the dihedral, kept it straight. Good decision in hind sight

You can, need to modify firewall, put on mount and find a suitable tank for it, problem you could end up with CG issues. With a motor and 1500 mah batt closer to wing leading edge CG sits perfect.

you may have to tinker with the nose design and move the firewall back a little (basically some tinkering would be needed)

How do you like the Airtronics radio.

Excellent

It is my heli radio because of its latency and speed, off the top of my head
1. Proportional 10 Channel
2. Last position hold failsafe
3. FHSS-3
4. 3 programmable Mix
5. revo Mix
6. 9 point pitch & throttle Curve
7. seven point Hovering Throttle pitch
8. 3 Gyro & governor Gains

You can’t ask for more from any radio, switches are filmsy, i have changed 3 switches till date, you got to take care of the switches

You can’t compare it to Taranis though or any modern radio, which are a computer unto themselves, slightly too difficult for a noob. This one is easy to learn
