Vinod, yet another effort that makes me wonder how you do it?  Keep up the good work!  :salute:
when you say shipping at actuals, do you have some sort of 'safe' packing? If you do then a model under 1K is 'dreaming'
All the best...

Dear flyjoe
thanks for the advice , i have taken much care regarding the packing n forwarding , as every one know s what happened to the consignment which i send via a *&^^%%$## courier which actually cornered me in a -----------------side ,,i will never allow it to happen again , will try to publish the rates of shipping charges of DTDC to major cities in India . ,communication is already ON . i think the total cost may be  around 1.2  to 1.4 ,,will update all the details in forum along with appropriate links provided by those providers . looking forward for more feed backs and valuable suggestions

Madhavan

I'm wondering where Gusty is... usually He's the first one to promote / discuss a scratch build...
Gusty hope you'll do a build and fly Log...
Your inputs on various other models have been very useful to the forum...

Vinod, the insight into approx shipping rates to various cities and the confidence that you have good packing is only going to make us comfortable with the buy.

Cheers!

Hello from downunder,

Please may I make an order for this great plane. I would love to own one. I realise the freight may be expensive but if you could give me a rough quote for the plane landed here  NSW  2390  Australia I would be very greatful. I would feel very proud to be able to fly a special plane all the way from India when I am well enouhg. It would certainly cause a lot of head turning and questions.

Please let me know if this is possible. Thank you,

Sincerely  Stuart

Dear Mr. Madhavan, what is the AUW of the prototype? and what would be the weight without electronics.

Post by: theleabres on June 16, 2012, 04:44:21 PM
please post a video with closeups of power setup.  not sure if that 50gram motor will fly this heavy model in slight wind.  this looks like it will need close to 300 watts to have a chance in the wind. With 2200 mAh 3S, this looks to be close to 800 gram all up weight.

why wait for it to land there?  the seller has already finished the model and posted power setup.  it's quite easy to post a video.  I'm curious myself and find it interesting to sell something and when customers ask, the answer is it's not ready.

Hi theleabres
The below mentioned accessories are used in Flying bugle prototype 2 and we did the test flight , it was good under slight windy condition . i agree the confusion still remains  just because the video is not posted here . we are working on our web page development and would like to post the web site link along with the YouTube channel link .just a few days time ,,kindly bare the delay .

Weight of Accesories we Used in Flying Bugle Prototype 2 Test flight .

Battery  Weight (g): 166.5 gms
Motor Weight (g): 50 gms
ESC Weight: 23gms
Servo Weight (g): 9.0 x 4 = 36 gms
Extension Wire weight 15 gms
Dean plug Gold connectors  8.5 gms
Total weight = 299 gms
Model Weight = 345 gms
AUW = 644
Lets r/o  it to 700 max .

Title: Re: Flying Bugle ( Prototype 2 )
Post by: theleabres on June 18, 2012, 08:15:59 AM
rounded up the AUW to 700 gr.
with that huge wingspan/area, loading will be on the light side, good for soaring and semi-gliding.  motor should be heavier than 50gr, kv 900 to 1000, and should provide 150 watts or more.

Madhavan

we have been seeing your kits with aero-sports.in for some time, i guess they are giving your aeroplane with their franchise kits, ( i wonder how many earned over 50K a month though) was that the reason for the balloon burst, so many were looking forward to flying your bird, :banghead: also looks like Mr MRK has taken sabbatical from the Movies ;)

So... does the video mean you are taking orders, the kits are in stock?  Can you post close up pics of the flown model like the way HobbyKing markets their model?
