B) not your cup of tea.
2) focus must be HERE.
Do you know the AUW ?

You're reposting stuff that were already asked, there is a search box here for a reason. There's a gazillion amount of old fogey stuff in rcindia including mine. When you repeatedly post the same stuff over and over again, it'll be messy.

Hope it wasn't aimed at me...
Ask the OP to search.

Okay this is a thread(or topic) of old fogey build not for asking batteries for a particular design.
THis build questions have one question that is of battery.
I will post my build images.
Please don't fight.

@taksh,
Why do you go on asking others?

If you type ‘what is AUW’ in Google, you’ll get the answer

Thoda apna khud ka dum/dimag bhi lagao na  ;D

@K K Iyer
I think AUW is something different not related to RC. So, i asked.

Taksh ji,

AUW is All-Up-Weight that is maximum total weight of the aircraft with which you can get airborne (All air crews, passengers, fuel/batteries/passenger meals/baggage/cargo/coins aboard).

@taksh,
Which battery? Capacity?
Answers already given in the flitetest videos

Finding CG before installing electronics.
You don’t have to FIND THE CG.
Balancing it without electronics is USELESS.

Please put in everything required to fly.
Then check if it balances level at the specified CG point.
If not, add weight to nose or tail as required, or move the lipo forward or back.

Aapke sawaalon se aksar aisa lagta hai ki aap bachchon ki tarah spoon feeding chahte hain.
Aisa impression kyon dete hain?
Aap to kafi jankaar hain.
Har choti baat pe sawaal na uthayen.
Thoda search kijiye, thoda dimag lagaiye.
Regards

Clarification/ assistance is good.
But spoon feeding is NOT good.
It prevents others from learning.
You deprived taksh of the opportunity to find out something by himself  ;D

I will search on rcindia before asking.

Spoon feeding
I don't know how this word come in posts. :giggle: :giggle:

Battery:
500mah 3s

Build Completed
Used 9g servo & paper clips as push rods.

Fuselage weight without servo is  190g
Wing weight is 110g
Battery weight : 46g
Total weight is more than 346g
I think 50% throttle is okay for my old fogey.

I want to fly plane but rain become a problem again.

use full throttle. no harm.
show a picture of the Pushrods please......

DIY Control horns using card. (Made after watching Andrew Newton)
This time, control horns are best. In previous blue baby, I need to set limit in tx for servo stalling.
This time, only one servo with little stalling and set one end point to 90% from 100%.

Two things could have happened:
Eother you gave too large a control input
Or the wing polyhedral joint was not strong. The left polyhedreal clearly flexed and stalled.
The plane did fly though......
Keep working!

Title: Re: FT OLD FOGEY BUILD
Post by: taksh on September 29, 2018, 10:54:18 AM
polyhedral portion was flexible.
In 1st maiden plane was going to left side but in 2nd maiden flight, plane was going in straight direction(sidha ja rah tha).
I gave small control to rudder.
I throw plane in wrong direction of wind --- 1st problem.
I know wing polyhedral portion is flexible --- 2nd problem.
People around me was disturbing me --- 3rd problem & most important problem.
Motor with no thrust angle...

Title: Re: FT OLD FOGEY BUILD
Post by: Mehul Anand on September 29, 2018, 02:55:55 PM
Well actually no  thrust angle doesn't mean that plane won't fly good, crash or be uncontrollable. when thrust angle is zero and while flying you observe that when you get the throttle to zero, the plane either pitches up, down or yaws that would mean it has a wrong thrust angle.

If you don't want to continue with your old fogey then do a coro build, you can do the tiny trainer. Coro is tough it can resist good amount of crash. If you hot glue Coro in a wrong way then removing glue is also easy .

Also try without landing gear, sometimes it gets sketchy with landing gear...

My humble request !.
Buy a kit, assemble it, learn to fly. (To avoid pilot error).
Then do a Scratch Build. ....

I don't have budget. :'(

Title: Re: FT OLD FOGEY BUILD
Post by: taksh on September 30, 2018, 06:37:12 PM
@ambattuhari
It's my fear that force me to move down throttle stick.
I have used simulator and fly many planes but there is no problem in simulator but reality is completely different. If any aeromodeller was teaching me at field then this crash can't be happened.

Come on @taksh.
Hobby is about learning things which you won't learn in day to day life. Your hobby is aeromodelling, building planes flying them but I don't think that this hobby teaches only that much. Flying your RC is the main aim but overcoming fear, keeping control and being calm in situations is a part of it.
Next time fly like you stole it at least you will be happy to see it fly...

When Mr. Taksh sends a message like this (after disturbing me by calling when I am at work)

if you don't want to talk with me then it is okay. You said "you are busy". So,
I sent message on whatsapp because i want to know time(when you are free and you can give few minute from your time and when i can talk to you) but you blocked me on whatsapp.
Thanks for blocking me Sir!.

showing his demanding and impatient nature, I have no option but to totally ignore him

@taksh,
Daant padi Rai Saheb se?

Aap jante ho ki kuch log jo aapke threads pe jawab dete hain, woh balak hain.
Lekin kuch bujurg bhi hain.
Jo ummeed karte hain ki aap kayde se pesh aaoge.
Kis se kaise baat karna, yeh to seekhna padega.
Ise tahzeeb kahte hain.

@K K Iyer sir
You are right!.("Jo ummeed karte hain ki aap kayde se pesh aaoge")
maine Phele call ki sanjay sir ko aur reply tha "who's this". I said "I am taksh" and fir sir ka reply tha "busy"
fir thodi der bad whatsapp ka dimag me ayya fir maine whatsapp pr sirf 3 message send kiya sir ko fir block
 hi krdiya sir ne mereko.
3 message yeh tha
"Hi sir
I am TAKSH
Please tell me time when i can talk to you on call"

Sir keh raha hai ki woh busy the lekin maina call and whatsapp sanjay sir ki rcindia profile ko dekhne ka bad kiya.
Abb profile me online hai post bhi ki hai timing hai 04:30:09 PM
me manta hu ki maina galat call kiya lekin busy hone ka bad bhi whatsapp pr block krna ka time kasie mil gaya.?
Busy bhi the tho whatsapp pr block kyoo kiya yeh smujhe nhi atta...
Isliya maina sir ko "Thanks" bol dia...
mujhe nhi lagta ki maina isme koi batmeezi ki hai
or appki "speech is silver.... gold" baat mere dimag se hee nikal gyi nahi tho me whatsapp block ka javab hee nahi deta...
Jho hue theek hee hue shayad se me hee galat bol gaya.... and daantte tho mere gharwale bhi hai.

Taksh, what Iyer Sir has said is 100% true.
What you do is make everyone run out of patience.
We try to tell you so many things. But you pay no heed to us. Why would then anyone want to talk to you?
There is no initiative on your side.
You are stubborn as hell.
And this IS THE REALITY.

The beauty of aeromodelling is that it's a great leveller

Persistence, planning and commonsense - just like in real life, in aeromodelling too these solve most problems

False pride leads to a hard fall, sometimes a hard crash! Careful planning, persistence along with a healthy dose of commonsense - these will lead to improvement.

Then again, there is a "right" way of doing things, and then there is the "Taksh Way"

In my few years on the Planet, I've learned never to discount anyone, geniuses often occur. And, I really hope this is true for Taksh

If I get the opportunity to actually help him, I always will, as I would any newcomer in the hobby. But I will not entertain vague telephone calls and WhatsApp messages which serve no purpose. He has all my good wishes that his skills improve and he becomes a True Master
