One step at a time :)

oh, an old fogey!
It is a beautiful aircraft! it flies slow and steady. excellent trainer.
I have made 3 as of now. I have a few suggestions;
1> Put the servos in the back if you have'nt placed them yet. Because what i noticed is that flitetest's original specified location requires use of flexible wire (use brake wire with the casing). My 1st old fogey had flexible brake line and they kept popping off their fixed location due to internal forces.
2> Fix the powerpod permanently. Repeated use of bamboo skewers weakens the depron significantly. the hole tend to get bigger and bigger until the power pod develops a lot of play. Whenever the plane kisses the ground, a fault develops along the plane in line with the holes on the depron. This causes fatigue damage and compromises airframe strength.
3> cover the spine of the old fogey and make a removable paper hatch for the front opening. What i have noticed is the the air passes through the plane. so when you fly in a crosswind at an angle, the plane will auto align with the wind and then it becomes hard to turn.

These improvements make the plane excellent to fly. They certainly did make my 3rd plane excellent. It was so nice that i plan to build another larger fogey for my brother soon.

Regards
