Re: help on flaperons
I presume its not 3D, and that you have 6 channels. Try 4cm wide, 85cm long, 10cm from centre to 5cm from tip. A better option is to have 4cm x 40cm inboard flaps and 6cm x 45cm outboard ailerons. Full span flaperons can lead to tip stall, and aileron movement is limited when fully lowered. Try out the flaps at safe altitude as trim may change drastically. May need 5-10% down elevator trim mixed with flap deployment. Best of luck.

Re: help on flaperons
also if i have a flaperon do i need to have Dihedral...i was thinkin of having di hedral of 2-3 degrees..also i have a high wing...most of the threads and resouces that i have read suggested that u need to have dihedral only when there is no aileron and ur goin to execute a turn wid only a rudder...

Re: help on flaperons
Size suggested was for each side, 85cm on left panel, 85cm on right. Based on your data, wing loading will be about 32 oz/sqft. Too high for a new pilot. Dihedral not reqd if you have ailerons. However dihedral gives built in stability, and model will correct one wing low attitude by itself without pilot input.

Re: help on flaperons
Forum members may be able to offer more meaningful help if we knew some details about you. Like
1. What is your rc flying experience
2. Is this your first model
3. Is this your first design
4. Why do you want to carry a payload which will increase your auw to 6kg
5. Electric or glow
6. What engine/ prop or BL motor/ esc/prop/ battery are you planning to use
Surprised that no one else responded. I thought many old timers would respond.
You said 100 ft runway. This info is not enough. What is the height of the obstacle you have to clear after 100 ft? Our field in Indore is 500 ft x 900 ft. No obstacles for takeoff in any direction.
Finally, why are you into a 6kg model at all?

Re: help on flaperons
KK sir,
Answering your questions chronologically:-)
1)None before this sir
2)first RC model,I have made one Balsa Wood model.
3)Yes sir my first design.
4)Sir I am making this plane for participating in a competition.According to their rules, plane shud not weigh more than 3Kg ...and we also have to add payload. Our score wud be directly proportional to the weight we carry and also on the laps that we complete...we as a team have decided on having a payload of 3kg.so 3 kg payload+3kg of plane makes it 6kgs!
5)its electric motor
6)specs of motor:
kv-750rpm/V
esc-60amp
prop size-14*6
for details sir u can visit this site
http://hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/__19831__NTM_Prop_Drive_Series_42_38_750kv_785w.html
sir and the runway has no obstacles...
