I am not weird...Instead i am a bit different....

your motor is heating because 1047 is an overload for emax fc 2822....try to use 8045 or 09038 or  9045 at max

Information sharing improves knowledge of both.

Look,
when you fly, heat will be lower then static thrust and so much of heat will not be there.

Or you can say as the plane advances, the amount of air shifted to the final velocity from zero will not be so much as the prop itself advances. (Shifted air volume reduced in cylinder length).
With the same motor(from VKSingh), I have used 10x6 prop too, but heating occures without burning (Static THRUST at full throttle even for 1 minute). But continuing beyond that sure burn that(during testing, I have no IR Thermometer). The test was with Turnigy plush 30A and with Red Brick 30 A too. Results same.
Of course this test turns turnigy plush in a defective one and become with servo jitter. Red brick(from vineet, earlier than starting his shop at hobbysea) was rock solid though Red Brick was cheap too. (Rs.530 over 870/-).
I recomend, if you don't need ESC programming, Go for Red Brick.

Just check what prop makes the plane vertical flight just at par. Use more than that prop-Motor-Battery Combo (known as static thrust and in gm).

Also, test everything in a charged battery and measure before and after voltage for testing.

Thanks

i think prop savers wud hav greatly helped.....
i cant conclude much ...... probably CG is not balanced...... need to add weight to tail probably... (if it was not windy)
otherwise fliht characteristics were wonderful.... stable ........

arun,
all looks fine from the video.
Go to a bigger place and fly. u will surely succeed. Many people make this mistake of going to a small place to save on travel, but end up much more time and money repairing the plane esp while maidening.
One needs much more skill also to fly in a confined area.
best wishes

Don't wake a Tiger until you've factored the teeth

Arun

Happy Birthday!   Good job

What a wonderful present to give yourself.  Clap Clap

I have read through your posts, and you have indeed been very enterprising: doing that model yourself, and then flying yourself. The true Spirit of Aeromodelling!   Hats Off Thumbs Up

All the best: a big ground is helpful! You are lucky that Cricket is not so popular in Kerala; unlike other parts in India where any big ground gets swamped on Sundays!  Grin Grin

Oh, BTW, on seeing your video again it appears you were not giving up elevator while turning (it seemed that way) although I may well be wrong!

this is just because u must not do what we did and crashed  Sad
