Title: NEW HobbyKing F4U Corsair
Post by: DominicM on January 27, 2021, 08:30:02 PM
Super little "almost ready to fly" warbird in this size just like it's predecessors in this 750mm series from HobbyKing. Assembly takes minutes and flies like a much larger model due to the clever ORX gyro stabiliser.

A few years ago, I converted a friend’s 36” Corsair from geared DC to BLDC.
Amazed at how well it flew.

I suspect Corsairs fly better due to more wing area and lower loading than say a Mustang or Spitfire of similar span.

Without even a gyro...

Unfortunately no way of switching off the gyro in this one so will never be able to make that comparison. Would be interesting.
