going to fly it tomorrow.. its totally ready.. but i never flew any plane by myself and i dont even have a simulator..
in take of where does elevator actually go? upside or downside?

Best to invest time in a Simulator first rather than spending the same time in repairs.

When you pull the elevator stick towards you, the plane's tail will drop, nose will get up resulting in the plane going upwards.
The actual control surface here will move 'Up' which will eventually be forced by the wind downwards; making the tail portion go down and nose portion up.

While take off, elevator should be little more than 50% throttle about 50-75%.
These numbers do however change from one plane to another based on their Flight characteristics and electronics, weight, etc

let me make it clear....if elevator moves up...our plane will go up because air will hit elevator and make the nose go down

When elevator (control surface) moves up then the plane will go up because air will hit elevator and make the TAIL go down

When Tail goes down then the nose automatically go up (Due to forward movement of the plane)

i crashed my plane...
it flew for a min quite nicely but something happened and it was falling vertically
i tried moving elevator up and down but it crashed...
have an another model but i'm afraid i'll crash it too..

any suggestions

i have like 20+ hours on sim

but m still not ready to fly actual rc model .....

i tried to fly ma FT Flyer this weekend....it was flying amazingly well when a senior flyer was flying it....as soon as i took the contorll...
i flew it for 3-3.5 minutes.....n i lost controll..... :banghead:....crashed  :bow: :bow:

thank god no damages .... ;D

Exactly my point.
Just because you didn't found discussions related to Sim Practise in your search doesn't mean it's not important.

Simulators infact are a lot more important before putting hands on a Physical Model.

is there any sim which is supported in mac os x.. i dnt have a windows lappy but the configuration of sim says only for xp , win 7 etc.. should i buy it?
and will my rcb6i be connected with a normal simulators which is for futaba flysky etc.?

learn from my mistakes? my propellor broke and battery burnt... whole model is on some 3-4 pieces..

i don't have any mentor who can teach me. all i know is its thermodynamical stability and science behind it.. i know nothing about practically flying it.

Pardon me. I am a noob. You meant aerodynamic stability when you said thermodynamic, right?

Roby veterans here are advising constantly to study the fundamentals thoroughly...they wish that no new comer should leave the hobby in frustration.

There is lots of gyan ,discussion here on the forum be it basics, aerodynamics, modelling , electronics,engines ....list is endless ...there is no substitute to self study...am doing it since hooked to this hobby..and not yet build it so far...but have gained courage to build coro...not sure of electronics yet..mean the configuration to use

When i started up, i converted my Computer Desk into a Dining Table.
Apart from the little time that i could spare to watch Videos over YouTube, i even started eating on the desk while watching more and more videos over YouTube again.
This gave me additional 1-2 hours out from the already hectic schedule everyday to grab some RC Gyan ;D

Please don't get us wrong. There are still about 1000 more things that can go wrong mid flight/On the ground which leads to frustration, people leaving the hobby altogether and selling off remaining parts over RcIndia's classified section.

On a positive note, We all need to be able to know the reason of a crash once it happens. One of the reasons why Helis/Multirotors and even planes are not usually sold as 'Ready to Fly' since while building them, you get to know them from inside out and any flaw is too hard to get away un-noticed.

Coming to the simulators, Now i see the real culprit and the cause of your initial hesitation - 'Mac' >:D
Fastest way would be to contact RCBazaar to check if it's Mac Compatible. Don't have any experience with RCB6i.
Most of us are i think are kind of lucky on the OS field.

I too sometimes get compatibility issues on my Windows 8.1 workstation. But then i just use an old Windows 7 Laptop just for that specific task.

Another way would be to get a new Mac Compatible simulator altogether. The investment in it believe me would be far less than the time and money you would have to invest otherwise (Repairing planes).

More and more knowledge through self learnings is the key to enjoy this wonderful hobby to its fullest. :thumbsup:

n Delhi has most of the aero modelers .......you might have to travel a bit ........

I would suggest get help from some mentors.

And then there is always a VM or BootCamp to get Windows on Mac.

Roby, madaquif is right. There are 2 flying fields in Gurgaon, 2 in Noida, and over 3 in Delhi. All these fields have people who would be more than willing to teach you how to fly. My suggestion is that if you cannot use a simulator, then start flying with some of these groups.

Look in the locations and clubs section, you will find the details of the exact person to contact for a particular field. Otherwise, you could send me a pm.

Computers, GUI, Applications, Simulators aren't as old as this Hobby and yet people advice to practice on Simulator.

My best bet would be to go to a field and observe how people are flying, visualize what the stick movement got to do with plane's movement.

Iwincar is actually correct. no matter how long you practice in Sim, your first flight will not be as good and you will never learn flying unless you actually fly it.
Lot of reading could help to understand how a plane flies instead of practicing in a Sim that work on ideal conditions.
if you are still afraid of wasting money, buy some chuck gliders and practice them, it teaches a lot than Sim.

Finally, Breaking a few props occasionally are quite common even for experts. choose a design that will not hit prop first, a pusher type plane could save few props, choose a build material like Coroplast that is forgiving.

damaging a battery is a result of poor construction not your flying skill.

i just taped the battery on the top, i had no idea this could go that wrong... i know to use the elevator properly..at altitude of 200 m it twisted due to wind maybe and i was not able to control the ailerons.

If you go by user handle and not by reputation, your choice. I do not see a counter example of BootCamp. Do you?

Fun Fact: Apple releases BootCamp. (If they do violet the warranty, they have one heck of a killer plan.)
