Title: its my SOLOSKY....
Post by: roopeshkrishna on December 02, 2011, 05:51:15 PM
Friends and Colleagues..after some tedious works on JSF , MIG 29 model projects, and Ship modeling projects, i got some nice Friendships, of some extra ordinary people, who working on the field of modeling..with Pramod Sir i shared a lots of ideas of making a submarine..and a lots..after a good hard work in Naval Academy, i got one of the ever veterans of Aeromodeling in Kerala, is Mr Vinod and Nikhin..and on their way back, both stayed at my home, as i was some un able to walk freely..their mission to leave me at home safely..as night darkens, i requested them to stay the night and start at early morning..so they agreed..
it was a great night, as i got a lots of tips and instructions from both..as our conversation continues, Nikhin told one thing that " one of the ever expensive hobby is aero modeling"..is it true..

NO..Mr Vinod replied..i returned to my work room, and Nikhin gone to bed..but Mr Vinod asked me for some spare wheels..and i merged in my works..then after about 40 minutes...he was holding a nice looking airplane in his hand...wooosh...

wait for the morn...go and sleep..

next morning was a great morning for us...it was unbelievable, as this aircraft flies like a dream...

he told us..." Today, if you can buy a good mobile phone...then you can make and fly a good airplane in minutes..." it was true words..today a 4 channel radio set is available for RS 2000/-and cost of a micro servo is Rs 160...the radio set..? works well...so a basic need of a modeller is about within 4000 Rs include a LiPoly battery...with charger..

then expense to make this aircraft is ...mere ...150 Rs..include all glue..but performance...awesome...slow to missile...safe landing after landing...easy take offs...repeatedly...if crashed..the motor will loose easily..and protected...loss..?  a mere half sheet of straw board of 3mm...weight..empty with ECM..is 95 Gms...!!!...

most of us spent thousands of Rupees for a craft...but here you can see how simple it is and nice...i named her as the SOLOSKY..as she need not any instructor to teach to fly , as she is far stable even at '0' throttle...and much forgiving...simple..and painted it with my own idea..now i am making a lots of this for Friends..and all they are happy..and now we are finished a pusher to save motors in a hit...its also a big success..flying well...

Friends...make a craft like this..its awesome... (:|~ (:|~ (:|~ :thumbsup:span..48 inches...can use any motor from 1000 Rpm/Volt..no restriction to prop as she is too light..even in wind she behaves excellently...

Roopesh sir,
that really is a very nice looking plane, congrats. Sir please share with us the plans and material/building techniques used, especially for the wing and a closeup shot of the undercarriage and the wing mount, this would really help beginners like me to get initiated with this wonderful hobby

Bilal..she spans in to 44 inch..i will post all the details and logs here and happy that it will help you all..anyhow, she is flying nicely..and it is a design, that rewrote all learned aerodynamics...now i am working on a pusher plane, with same geometry, with a simple shock absorber at nose..so no fear of crashing..in my test flights it flying well..i am thanking to Mr Nikhin, is an aeronautical engineer, for the test flights and guidance..will post all details here...a pusher for Rs 200...make it and fly it...not indoor...but in out door..in a professional way...i am also working on a flight stabilization system, with two altered head lock gyro, so anyone can take her in air..and instead of high blood pressure..sheer enjoyment...inspiration continues.. (:|~ (:|~ (:|~

Sure my Friends..its a rewriting of all studied things about aerodynamics..no any restrictions of airframe..wing foil..and motor..it performs in all configurations, from 1000 RPM /Volts to 4200 RPM/Volts..will share all details here, and will share my new pusher, its even more easier to make and fly...no fear of crash events..flies like a stuntplane..and cost..?  mere 200....every body is invited..will post a full building log..need only half sheet of strwboard..and some wooden reapers..please give me a little time..

Friends, i do not have any clear idea of the material used. here in my native, this sheet is known as Straw board, fluted board, coro sheet..anyway, this is mainly used to make false ceiling, and advertisement displays. one 8 X 4 sheet in to 2 mm costs only 115 Rs. and 3 mm is 130 Rs only..and can make two planes with one sheet. very weightless and strong..when formed..i am making a second one for my Friend, by this night and will post all details here..its far stable and simple than my Company made trainer...simpler..inexpensive..sheer pleasure...

OK sir! I figured it is same material which we know as Coro or Coroplast. The same material which the SPADs are made of. Its correct name is Corrugated Plastic Sheet. Correct me seniors if I am wrong somewhere :headscratch:.

Please check if it is same material as in the link...

Friends, now i am working with even more bigger craft, named as "BOMBARDIER", is driven by more powerful motors..finished..and test flighted..but waiting to dry up the paint..in army combo cammo..will post all details and methods here..then you will find how simple to make a craft and fly..again..again..again..because of the lightest weight battery life span is great...
