Hi everyone.
I recently got into this hobby and my first lipo is ruined now.(Bought a low quality lipo) Bang Head

We all know why we use lipos over li-ion batteries. For getting a continuous high current discharge. But some li-ion batteries are available now with the same discharge current and higher C Ratings.
e.g. LG INR18650 HD2 and HG2 and

https://robu.in/product/orange-isr-18650-2000mah-10c-lithium-ion-battery/ this one from robu.in ( This one has 30A discharge rate Shocked)

So math shows the 3S pack of these batteries should be good to power a plane. (2212 1400kv in my case)
These are lightweight than a 2200mah lipo and can be discharged to very low voltages compared to a lipo battery. So flight time should be better.
And we also can use them on lightweight gliders and slow fliers.

Please share if anyone has done this previously or even if anyone has any take on this. Or I am plain wrong  Head Scratching
Thanks and regards.

These "Orange"  brand cells don't have much reputation. Futhermore, normal Quad/Planes demand in access for 30 to 120C current draw rating, still not available in Li-ions.  The best bet you have are with LG HG2 (20C) and Sony VTC6 (30C) series Genuine Cells. That too in High Voltage/Low KV motor configurations like 6 Cell and above.
In Short, Li-ion and Li-Po packs are not readily comparable/Compatible for RC use and you need a very careful planning for switch to Li-ion packs.
