Hi. Im looking for a motor for 3D flying and am looking for about 1300 to 1600g of thrust provided by a single motor with a 2 blade propeller.

These are the specifications of my aircraft:
Wing span = 1m
AUW = 650-700g (depending on the motor weight)
Root chord = 0.27m

Looking for a model which is available locally ie in India, (preferably Mumbai) as i dont want to import stuff from abroad.

Hey Nathan0017,
Welcome to the forum!

We need to know some more information before we can suggest you any motor,
Following information needed

1) prop clearance, this is distance between prop tip and the ground, if your plane has landing gear then we need to know distance from the centre of the motor mount to the floor

2) what voltage lipo you are using

3) motor mounting hole dimensions of your motor mount

And since you mentioned you are looking for motor locally (in Mumbai) you can check for motors at
Rcmumbai.com
Quadkopters.com
GetTBS.in

All these sites are trusted

Hi Mohammed,
Thank you for your reply.

1. I'm flying a self made, slightly modified and scaled down version of the Edge 540. So based on the prop clearance needed I can modify the height of the landing gear (and ill be using a tail dragger).
2.  Im planning on using a 3S (11.1V) for my aircraft.
3. The motor mount as of now hasn't been designed as i would get it laser cut after i get the motor. I have built larger aircraft (upto 2.5m balsa planes) while someone else flew it. So i can modify my design to accommodate the motor. Just that I'm not too well versed with the propulsion (and electronic) systems.

Looking forward to you reply.
Thank you!!

Well i would recommend you go with a 2216 or 2218 size motor between 1200kv or 1400kv motor with 9x6 propeller will work,

there is a person selling few motors you can get in touch with him Lalith: 9456723351
