Title: multiple conversions of an old plane
Post by: AEROVISHWA on July 25, 2012, 10:50:34 PM
i  had a high wing, 3ch, .25 glow " ROYAL COACHMAN" as in india we call the coachman as "GUARD" the plane was named "ROYAL GUARD"

the kit was purchased in 1999 and built by my dad, but never took  to  air and remained  as a HANGER QUEEN.... it was his first RC plane.... but never got time  later on to  fly it...!!

i still  remember the time i  spent building that plane along with some  control lines(famous  in  those days) i  was  around 6-7 yrs old...!

the plane was a 3 ch high wing nitro trainer.... but one thing was good that the Tx was a futaba 6Ex (one of  the newly launched  in those  days...)

the plane was hanging in my room with the engine for around the  next 10 yrs,.... and was a  inspiration  for me to  get in  this field....

i learnt on a different plane and never  bothered to  come on this  3Ch trainer....
and finally decided to convert this plane...... for my requirements...

some pics of the old version...

So, you have RCDAD, :hatsoff: to him for inspiration.
What is the motor ? 2836/1100 or 910 KV with 10x6 Prop ?

Oh yes,
 Cockpit added/fixed later perhaps.
Compaired with rcuniverse thread  (http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/m_10972258/anchors_10975159/mpage_1/key_/anchor/tm.htm#10975159)

yes the fuse has been inverted and a thermocol canopy shaped for aesthetic purpose...
