Designer and RC Lover!

Guys, this is the ENIGMA, 3D Thrust Vector Plane, from Hyperion, delivered at my door today as a prize as I designed its Logo and Skin.
Just an Unboxing Celebration with you  Smiley
Great plane, great quality. Came with a 'Box-in-a-box' packing. They provided normal motor mount too for non-tv setup.
Thanks to Mr. Sai for keeping me stable when the thought that 'it got struck in customs' rippled worry in my mind.
Thanx to Hyperion for kindly selecting my design to gift me this palne ;-)

Looks awesome..
What wood is that with the motor mount. I have seen that in many motor mounts with rtfs/arf.
Can we get that material anywhere in bangalore?

Hi Ashok,
Thats called 'Liteply' and RC Dhamaka stocks them. It is currently out of stock, but they say it would be in stock this month or so.  I would be going to get parts of my Katana Lite Laser-Cut this weekend with similar Motor bulk head.you may drop in sometime to see them.

Awesome job on designing and good to see that you got the entire package and not just the airframe as just reward for your labour.
How about doing a write up about the model and other bits and off course a few videos would be great!!

Nope, this is an advanced flyer. we call it 3D, to perform aerobatics, while the Ez star is perfect trainer plane. Better go for ez star. that will be your learning mate.

Oh yeah, sure I will. But presently I am very seriously on my PhD thesis, to be submitted this month. After that, I will be back into RC with everything.

+1.  It was very nice of Hyperion to send it ARF.

Looking forward to a proper review and maiden videos.  Remember that dual rates and expo are your friends Wink

Yes anwar exactly. I am a scale lover and never flown a 3D. am planning to setup 20% on every throw and try without TV to get it airborn first, but am little bit scared that I may crash it immediately.

20% *may* be too low.  My guess is at least 40% rate, with something like -50% expo.  Even better, have someone more experienced do the maiden, take the guess work out and tame her down for you.

Practice, and only Practice will make you perfect

Anwar bhai and Merog,

On all my 3D, two tings i followed very religiously, one dual rate 40% on Aileron and Elev, rudder no DR. and -50% expo
Two, No maiden on a slightly windy day

Edit
Sorry Anwar Bhai not my fault, Justerini & Brooks are to blame
